SX X-line timeline

The SX-P-X-Line should have a black bumper per pictures on Kia’s website, why is yours “silverish”. See photos I attached. Right one is SX-P-X-line and left is SX. I’m expecting black as shown on the right.

This has been a known issue from the beginning. It's been very disappointing for all us X-Line and X-Pro folks. The bumper is definitely a tad darker - but not by much. Not sure why Kia is showing it as dark as it is (which by the way we would all like). Very frustrating which is causing a bunch of people to get them wrapped/painted. I suspect Kia will darken these for the 2024 model year.

I expect what I see, this is VERY UNFORTUNATE!! I didn’t realize that. That’s false advertising when the pictures clearly show a difference. Kia should be paying to have this darkened. Did you address this issue with them?

I totally agree. I don't get my car for about 2 weeks. I haven't addressed this with them, nor do I plan on doing so. There is really nothing they are going to do but say that colors appear differently for everyone on the website. It's definitely misleading - but it is what it is. Would be interesting if anyone can push them to cover the cost to paint/wrap them - but I suspect that would be a stretch.

Will do. Let me know how you make out. With Everlasting Silver I'm concerned the bumper will be too light. I think with the darker color exteriors it looks okay, but with Silver it's going to be too close. I've been considering wrapping them - but once I receive the car I'll make my final determination.

I was at a dealer last night and they had an EX right beside an X-Line and it was nearly impossible to tell any difference with the front bumper and grill surround. Is the X-Line trim darker?? Perhaps yea, but only by a very minuscule amount. Both are very much “silver” in my opinion. And yes, looks nothing like the pics on the Kia website.

I have full intentions of doing a vinyl wrap on the front and rear bumpers and the grill surround. And possibly the lower door trim too. I hope I change my mind once mine arrives in a few weeks but that’s doubtful. A vinyl wrap is basically a sticker that is professionally fitted to the surfaces. It is supposed to hold up very well. I plan to wrap vs paint as I feel it will hold up much better against stones….

I paid MSRP, only dealer prep add-on of $699, that I have seen on other CO dealers. They also paid my plane fare there and a full tank of gas heading out. So easy, fast, great experience. My contact there is Georgia Gallagher, she answered all questions, was very open and informative about my spot in their order line, emailed updates as I moved up the line. My car arrived a day after her prediction. It was ordered 9/30/22, Picked up by Kia 12/08/22, vin and window sticker on 1/19/23, and ready to pick up 1/25/23. I was traveling and could not pick up for another week but we did paperwork online and wire transfer so all was ready when I arrived early morning- before the office opened but Georgia came in early to let me in and see/test drive the car. I would totally recommend Georgia and the Arapahoe Dealership. The 2 day road trip back to Reno was beautiful and fun getting to know the great features of the car.
TOTALLY WORTH THE 4 month WAIT!

did you pay cash or finance? Since they are requiring financing through them, i'm worried i'll have 2 hard credit pulls in the span of 2 weeks if I were to apply for a loan at an outside CU in preparation of refinancing once i get home.

Ordered my SX-Prestige X-LINE on 12/30/22 (Dawning red, black interior) and my sales rep called me last week to say the est delivery date is 3/12/23. He confirmed the est. delivery date again yesterday. I can't wait! I agreed to pay MSRP. Other dealer in town told me $10K over MSRP, so I laughed and walked out the door.
