I purchased my 2021 Telluride back in October 2020. Didn’t pay too much over MSRP luckily. Got the EX nightfall edition in Gravity Gray. Was happy with the features standard on the EX trim EXCEPT for the lack of home link. But after reading up I discovered how easy installing the S9F62-AU000 would be so I ordered it and installed it myself. I added some Smartliners and a screen protector and I was good to go. I have been happy with it but wanted mine to be different than the rest on the road. So I decided to get it wrapped in a satin vinyl. I never was in love with the smoked chrome so got that deleted. Toned down the tail lights with a light tint, and changed out the badges which I NEVER was a fan of. The roof (which is hard to see in the pictures) is a gloss black as well as the side mirrors and the handles. Really happy with the way it turned out 🥰

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! What did the Telluride replace for you? Your Telluride looks awesome! Thank you for the pictures...

I had a Grand Cherokee but wanted something with a third row.
Nice SUV! How does the Telluride compare other than the third row advantage? Anything you miss about the Jeep Grand Cherokee?

While I know this question wasn't directed at me - I just picked up my Telly almost 2 weeks ago and have come from 6 Jeep Grand Cherokees between me and my wife over the last nine years. In fact, she just got a 2023 JGC in November - new style. Overall Jeep went downhill with the 2023 compared to the last model so I'm so happy I went with the Telluride. But with that said and to answer your question - these are the things I miss:
  1. SiriusXM favorite song/artist and favorite sports team and scores. That tech has been out there at least a decade, so very surprising that the Gen 5W doesn't have this. It seems that Kia has one model of infotainment system with this capability.
  2. Jeep has day/night sideview mirrors to reduce the glare from cars behind you. Although in the 2023 they removed it from the passenger side, now just the driver side has it. With that said, not having it on the Telluride isn't really noticeable.
  3. 2023 Jeep introduced Wireless Carplay. I purchased the Carlinkit 3.0 and it's been working great - so great workaround!
  4. 2023 Jeep introduced lock/unlock car doors from rear doors, not just front doors. That was real nice.
  5. 2023 Jeep gas tank is 23 gallons, prior models were 24.6. Still nicer than the 18.8 that the Telly has.
Nothing else I miss at all. In fact with the Telluride we have so much more! Also the 2023 center stack in the Jeep is so awful. The designer and people that approved the design should all be fired! Kia really thought out everything and everything from the center stack to the light and wiper controls are so much more intuitive and easier to work than the Jeep.

Sick! I'm loving it!

Thank you for this information. I'm glad to hear that while there are things you'd like to see in the Telluride, you're getting much more than you've lost. How are things in comparison like NVH (noise, vibration, harshness)?

Definitely much more than lost! Funny I just came back from using the Telly and had a conversation on the phone with my son. He said the clarity of calls was much better on the Jeep. Now I know the jeep microphone placement is awesome. They have mics all over and was great. The Telly just has two over the rearview mirror (like the Jeeps used to have on my 2014's). But I was also talking to him using the Carlinkit wireless carplay connection. He said it's been bad since I've been using it. I hung up and called him back using Bluetooth. He said it was so much better - just about as good as the Jeep. So - so much for using the Carlinkit for calls!

In regards to noise, vibration, harshness - I'd say the interior noise is about the same as my 2019 Jeep which had the noise suppression package. Definitely much better than my wife's 2020 that didn't. I think still better than the 2023, but the 2023 is improved over the 2020 in that regard. Interesting on the vibration. While I feel the 2023 Jeep has the best ride of all prior Jeeps, I do feel a slight more vibration in the steering wheel. Nothing wrong, but different. The Telluride is definitely better on the vibration front - I don't feel anything. I will give the 2023 Jeep a slight advantage on harshness vs the Telluride - but honestly not really noticeable.

The 2023 also feels much bigger than the prior model. It definitely is a little longer (not the 3 row version). But the way the center stack and dash are - just feels much bigger. The Telluride doesn't feel as big as the Jeep - even though it is a little bigger.

Your wrap job is fantastic! Is your Telly lifted at all, or is that just a trick of the light with the wrap? The black mirrors and roof are a great touch.

Thank you! It is not lifted at all.

Thank you. And again, mostly good changes! Pretty impressive... Kia has come a long way from the old days...

Oh yeah! If someone said to me last year that I would be driving a Kia this year - I would have said they were freakin' nuts. My Kia impressions have always been negative and they are just a budget vehicle (very similar to how Honda and Toyota started out when I was a kid). However after researching and talking to friends that own and love Kia's I figured I'd give it a shot. Best thing I've done. Just so darn impressed! The SX-Prestige X-Line almost makes my wife's JGC Limited look like a budget car... lol. I also really like the re-branding they've done. The logo change and the change to the dealership fascades which are more luxury looking is a very smart upgrade! They are definitely taking the right trajectory!

Yes, and people are still being shocked every day. I think the majority of car buyers are still unaware of how the playing field has been leveled...

Looks fabulous. What does something like that cost? I have no idea but might be interested in doing. Thx
