• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... We are new Telluride SX XP-Pro owners. We upgraded from a 2022 Santa Fe Limited. The issue we are having and were having with the Santa Fe is I have been unable to get the time not to change time when we cross the river into another time zone. We live in a city that borders another city that is in another time zone. Years ago our city agreed to honor EST even though GPS wise we are CST. Eveen if I uncheck Set time automatically the clock moves forward by 1 hour just as soon as we cross the time zone line. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get the clock not to change time?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Telluride! Nice upgrade from the also nice Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. I'm glad you found us. :) I moved this topic into our Telluride Technology forum. :)

Otherwise, how does the Telluride compared to the Sante Fe?

Very similar in functions / features. We didn't have the heads up display or the cooled rear seats. Every thing else was similar. The telluride has little more room, little better ride, more head room for me to get in the vehicle (handicap). Little worse fuel mileage, better looks. Both are nice vehicles. Just like the telluride more.

Interesting issue. Honestly I didn't think the car was that smart when it came to time zones. I have a 2023 SX-Prestige X-Line and I use the dynamic dash. Ever since daylight savings time kicked in, the dynamic dash is about an hour behind... it shows the sunset image about an hour before sunset and the evening image at sunset time. Was fine before. Not a big deal but a bit surprising.

I do remember seeing a check box for Daylight Savings Time in the Date Time settings. It does advance or retard the time y 1 hour if you haven't already tried changing this. Not sure if it will help your situation. I did learn a short to getting to the Date and Time settings is to touch the time on the home screen. Hope this helps. Appreciate your links. I just ordered the wireless Car Play.

Thanks - yes I had to hit that check box to change the time after daylight savings time. All my recent vehicles changed time by itself so that was weird. That's why I'm curious as to why the dash didn't align with the change I made. Maybe I should try changing my time zone if that lets me and see what happens!

I have a 2025 Kia Sportage X-Line and it has the same issue. I drive through a city called Evensville, TN near my town and as soon as I cross the line into Evensville the time zone changes from EST to CST. I have unchecked, rechecked DST... I have set clock to manual, I have set clock back to automatic. I have tried every combination possible and no matter how you set your clock it will always change automatically from EST to CST when I drive into Evensville. Every other city I have been to seems to function properly with the auto time zone change but this one city just does not work right. I opened a ticket with Kia customer care and they said maybe this month's infotainment update will fix it and it did not which I told them since the update already applied a couple days ago. They said maybe the issue is mechanical and needs to be taken into dealership lol. The issue is with the software not with the engine or any other mechanical component. I also have family that drive Hyundai's and they also have the same issue with their clocks and Evensville,TN. I reached back out to Kia customer support and let them know the dealership said it is a software issue and they cannot help so we will se if Kia cares enough to try to get this fixed. It is crazy to not be able to trust such a basic feature with a car. If you cannot even trust the clock, how are you supposed to trust something like collision detection/avoidance? I am sure lots of people might think it is a silly thing to complain about when people probably have watches and phones etc but when you are driving the clock on your infotainment system is the easiest way to check the time.
