Latest twist. Time to share intel with each other.Amazingly, not a request for Stephen to check status. I called Kia customer service at 800-333-4542 on April 13 to create a case with the goal of getting better information on my storm damaged ’ride. I called back today (April 21) and received the following in email to confirm the call notes:
*********************
As of right now, notes are indicating that the vehicle is in "Port stock allocation" status. Which means, the vehicle came in on a shipment from the supplier and it's being picked up the ship to the dealership. I would estimate the vehicle being delivered to the dealership within 1-2 weeks from today.
Sincerely,
Kia America

Dealership said still showing 12/31.
I‘ll post an update once something real happens.
Peace and patience.
I had put a deposit down on a vehicle they were supposed to receive originally on 4/11. After the storm I was called by the dealer and just told that because of the damage they were no longer going to be receiving that vehicle and just gave me a list of different ones coming in May (none the same exterior color). I’m not sure if there was just so much damage they couldn’t repair it or if the dealer just told me that because they saw the 12/31 date and figured it’d better to get me to take another vehicle.Latest twist. Time to share intel with each other.
The dealership called today with a “Hail Events Credit” offer from Kia US: $2,000 off and 2 years of free maintenance. We must sign disclosure forms when taking delivery.
Has anyone else received a similar offer?
Thanks
Can confirm this was sent to dealers today internally.Latest twist. Time to share intel with each other.

Yes. I took the call from dealership around lunch time. Got a picture of the offer emailed to me from dealership. Thought about it. Called dealership back, asking for confirmation that it was Kia US offer and not a dealer specific offer. Dealer confirmed it was Kia US.Can confirm this was sent to dealers today internally.
I'm curious to see images of some of the hail-damaged cars. If it is small enough for PDR to fix it, around here its like $150 per incident (not sure if they would charge that per pock mark or for each job). Rounding up say roughly $2400 in compensation, I would need to see the vehicle before agreeing to anything. Good luckCurious to hear your opinions and feedback. It seems we're one of those affected, but we haven't heard from our dealer yet. Is this a good deal or does the hail damage devalue the car enough to affect resale? Would Kia still fix the damage on top of the offer? Does hail damage show in Carfax?
Thank you!
We're in the same boat. Haven't heard anything from dealership besides our ETA was 4/18 and that they had 2 that were supposed to be delayed and "don't know anything until it shows up on the truck"Curious to hear your opinions and feedback. Same boat. Haven’t heard anything. My fear is that the hail damaged the windows and it rained into the car. Once you have water in there, the value depreciates a lot (saw some numbers up to 30%, but it always ‘depends’). I am increasingly leaning to cancel my order and wait for another car.
My dealer just called and confirmed mine does have damages to fix, offered me 2k off and 2 years of free service direct from the manufacturer. Is this what you're seeing across the board for all damaged ones?Still showing 12/31 stamp on my end
