  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... The last time I bought a new car, it was 1989. The last time I bought a car at all, it was 2010. Wow, has new car shopping changed a bit! And yet, some things never change.

I posted a bit last week without introducing myself. So. . . here I am. . . spending time obsessing about all things Telluride so that I know more about them than most sales consultants at the dealers. Wondering at all the crazy surrounding vehicles that tow and yet can't.

Thank you to all the people that post and answer questions here so that all of us can learn!

Waiting for that elusive SX-Presitge, X-Pro in Jungle Green.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! How's your search going? And what might the Telluride be replacing for you?

I have my name on a Telly that is part of the hail-damaged bunch and was rejected by the original order-er. I happened into the dealership right as that customer refused it.

Otherwise, even at a high volume dealer in the area, there are almost none in my preferred trimline and color (SXP X Pro/jungle green). I am stalking Kia and dealer inventory and calling and such. I've had two chances to get on in Ebony Black - to drive it home that day. But I am not ready to let go of jungle green.

I am replacing a 2006 Sequoia with 245000 miles on it. I love that thing. I want to replace it while I still love it. But I can't afford a Sequoia these days and my family is already thinking I'm nuts for wanting something as big as the Telluride as a single mom whose kids have flown the nest. However, even now, I load up my Sequoia and USE it. I've off-roaded and camped and towed and strapped paddle boards to the roof. I routinely have the back seats folded away and the back full of something. So, the Telly is my concession to a big but smaller car that I can still USE. I love the Telluride and I'm splurging to get my first new car since 1989. I just need them to sort out the whole wiring harness/tow hitch thing so that I can eventually tow!

Anyone who appreciates automobiles will have good things to say about the Toyota Sequoia. They're impressive SUVs. I'm confident the Telluride will fill its shoes plus some. It's not quite as large, but Kia did a very good job of making the interior a roomy place to be. Plus, all the luxuries and amenities that only come with a new vehicle. Keep us posted! And until that time comes, enjoy the community. :)
