• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just curious how many of you have waited for over a year to receive the telluride you ordered? We put money down the first of May last year, '22, and we are still waiting with no word from our dealer. Apparently, we've been at the top of the list for a few months now, but it still hasn't been picked up. We ordered a SX, glacial white pearl, tow package.
So I guess I'm looking to see what's the longest some of you have waited? And do you think it's appropriate to ask our dealer for our deposit back if it continues to be dragged out?

Usually, you can get your deposit back at any time right up to delivery where you can tell the dealer you've decided not to buy. It is NBD for them as they will have a new buyer with one phone call, as their waiting lists are long.
I suppose there are dealers out there that would screw you, but they are probably greatly in the minority.

Something is wrong with this dealer, I got a Telly and then a Forty, both took about 3 months.

3/6 months is appropriate...anything after that would be no good for me..

I waited like you until I hit the one year mark and then bailed. Got my money back and found the same car I had on order for about $1000 more on another lot and bought it. never looked back. You can find dealers out there that are selling close to MSRP without waiting now.

I've owned my telluride for over 3years and 50k miles. It's a fine car, very nice but it's not something I would wait a year to own.

First one was October 2019 order end of January 2020 delivery. Second was about 45 days between order and delivery to the dealership (Muncie) and I pick up this week.
