• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... ‘23 SX-P. Whenever I get into the driver’s seat, it adjusts itself just a little bit, as if something tapped one of the seat adjustment buttons for a half second.

I turned off the easy access features. I have only 1 profile set up, and I have my seat position saved in memory 1. Nobody else drives the car. Whenever I get in, the seat will move forward or backward, up or down, by a half inch or so. It’s different every time. Then I have to hit my profile on the display, or push the memory 1 button, and it moves back to where it started.

I searched the manual, but can’t find a setting that would cause this. Is this just a ‘quirk’ of the Telluride?

Were you ever able to find information on this? I’m having the same thing happen in my ‘23 and it’s making me a bit nuts.

I’ve noticed that sometimes when I get in the car, it tries to put it into the “guest” profile, like it’s guessing incorrectly who actually just sat down with the same key fob that belongs to driver-1. I’ve also disabled all of the easy access features.

I struggled with this for weeks. I had a scary moment were 10 seconds into driving, the seat started moving me forward, almost pressing me into the steering wheel. Very dangerous!

I'm 99% sure this is a software bug with the '23 infotainment. My workaround was deleting (resetting) both driver profiles, and only using Guest. I have all of my settings stored in Guest, and if my wife drives she just hits the second memory seat button. With this workaround, the seat no longer does its phantom adjustments after starting the engine, or while driving.

It would be great if Kia fixes the bug.. or just removes the driver profiles altogether. Fingers crossed that they also address the google maps / waze issue soon, and the tow hitch...

Very interesting. I might end up trying this. Thanks for the reply!

What’s going on with Waze? I’ve been using it regularly, but haven’t noticed any issues. Hopefully I’m not jinxing myself by asking…

Followup: I’ve erased my driver profile and set all of my prefs back up in the guest profile. This seems to have stopped the issue with the seat moving around when I enter. Thanks for the tip!

I’ve now found that the settings for “easy access” seem to have no effect whether they are checked or unchecked. I can probably live with this, but I was hoping to use the feature to lower the seat when I enter/exit to reduce wear on the bolster.

Try setting it up in the driver 1 profile now and see if it works.......

Maybe just needed to erase the driver 1 profile and reset it up...

That’s a good idea. I’ll try it tomorrow and report back.

Are you talking about the seat automatic movement when you turn the car off and on? This is a setting that you can with chose to enable or turn off.

Anybody find a solution for this? I have a ‘24 and it’s doing the same thing and driving me crazy. Even after selecting my profile it moves to the correct position, but then moves all the way back and then forward again. Turned of the movement setting and it still moves an inch or so forward and backwards when it shouldn’t move at all.

Just do a complete resetting of your positioning, setting it to memory 1 spot again. That should fix it.

I completely deleted my profile and started from scratch again, still doing it. Strange…

Well no one on here will solve it - you need to show the problem to your dealer.

Thanks for the great tip! Was asking here first since other people had similar things happening. Of course I will mention to dealer if I can’t get it to work properly.

I don't think so. Never seen anything ever remotely similar.

I responded in this thread because the original post is about the seats moving, which is an issue I am having. Anyways next time I am at the dealer I will talk to them about it.

That was 9 months ago, and I see he never posted whether or not it got resolved. That happens a lot on these forums. Anyway, I hope your dealer can make sense of this - they don't give me a lot of confidence unless something is completely broken. Luck

We have the same problem with our 2024 Telluride! Going to the dealership tomorrow.

Is there a "memory" button? Where is it? I have a 2024 telly Ex-x and do not see any numbered buttons on the seat. Would be nice, or do you have to set up a profile and the buttons show up on the informantent display?---thanks
