My Buddy had a bunch of this sound damping material from Amazon. Left over, his bill turned out pretty well and he told me that I could have the rest of this stuff. I still have enough for the second row as well..
Once I was done I ordered 4x4 MLV Which I still need to trim up to fit better. It is underneath the cargo mat.
It has helped a lot with the bass and the road noise. I wanna say probably about 20% quieter to me, it is extremely noticeable.
Especially for the road noise with no music on.
I did think about doing where the HVAC system is in the rear but I didn't want to remove anything so I left that as it is.
All in all, it was pretty easy to take apart. I did not break any clips I did misplace one trim screw .
I ended up putting double the amount. Because there was so much of the material that he'd left over for me.
A shop quoted me $2000 to do this.
Took me 2 days taken my ti'm handsome refreshments and a couple meals.
Again it was definitely noticeable before I put the MLV in ,I will know how that affected it tomorrow.
I do not know if the shop would have done as much coverage as I did for that amount. But that is a lot of money for what was necessary to do.

I've been thinking about doing this just because over 2 years I've noticed the road noise seep in more and more. How hard was it to get all the pieces back together once the mats were in place?

I want to say roughly went through about 20 to 26 sheets. And do be cautious, the metal that this material is stuck to is extremely sharp.

I also purchased this kit.You don't have to use extreme force to use these rollers but I do recommend having a heat cut and if you are in a cold environment, I was able to toss these on my driveway for them to heat was a warm day but on a cold day I don't think any of the. Products out there will stick in it here. Also I used 90% rubbing alcohol to prep the area. This is a must, otherwise. You will not have a clean surface and will not stick.

I bought this the size is 4x4 . I trimmed it so that it fits with the third row down for additional noise barrier.

I hope this helps out just take photos when you take the back end apart so that you can follow through the eclipse that connect the USB chargers in the rear area. Be careful the driver's side disconnect closer to the actual plug were on the passenger side, disconnect closer to the cargo.

I did this to my 05 Tiburon back in the day definitely makes a difference. Not sure about doing it to the Telluride as I haven’t really updated the audio. Plus it’s a family car. Maybe in a year or so the MOD bug will hit me again and I’ll end up doing a few similar upgrades. Other than that keep it up I bet it sounds amazing now!

Did you do your stereo install yourself or utilize any shops in WA? I'm in the greater Seattle area and looking to install a Kicker shallow mount 12" in the rear compartment, but I'm not sure I'm ready to commit to doing it myself
