• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I’m looking to have a ceramic coating applied to my car . Does anyone have experience with this and what are your thoughts ? As far as I know , if it’s applied correctly , it should last 3-5 years .

My husband actually did mine today. He works in the car industry and does all of our vehicles. It looks so good. Like glass. I recommend.

Car looks great .Is there a certain product or line he would reccomend ? I know it’s a several step process to get to the actual application .

Thx! I’m pretty sure what he uses, you have to go through an actual dealership or ppf/ceramic company who does it. I’ll find out from him tomorrow.
Store bought ceramic coating is “garbage”. His words, not mine. Haha.
His company is based here in NC but they are in dealerships all over.
It is a process. Took him all day today. He even does the windshield so the rain just beads off.

Look online for 3rd parties that apply ceramic coatings. Look for the highest rated company. If an inexperienced person does it, you won't get the 3-5 years for your $1000 plus investment. Look for a company that uses some of the top brands of coatings like are mentioned in this video:

Alo keep in mind that if you get a ceramic coating, you cannot take it to an automatic car wash and you must buy the right kind of towels and products for cleaning you car by hand. The more abrasion, the faster it wears off so the less harsh the wash process is, the longer it will last.

There are a couple other good threads to readon the subject. First check out the 2021 Kia Tellurude Detailing Thread 2021 Telluride Detailing Thread and to see my Overkill 9000 thread check here: Wash Procedure

I just had my wife’s Telluride done. I had a local mobile detailer Ceramic coat the vehicle and it turned out amazing. The price was pretty good for what they did, only 700 dollars

First check out the 2021 Kia Tellurude Detailing Thread 2021 TelluI was wondering if I leave it unwashed after the rain (ie. rain spots and dirt still visible on the car), would it hurt the ceramic coat at all? Ive been super busy and just have not gotten the chance to go to my detailer (I have no access to water hose in my apt. parking spot). Thanks!ride Detailing Thread and to see my Overkill 9000 thread check here: Wash Procedure
