• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... What did you do to your Telluride today?

I also Plasti Dipped the rear letters and the front and rear logos. Satin black on Gravity Grey.
Came out nice as they almost disappear at first glance.
I bet that looks good. You have any pics?

I mistakenly said Plastidip. It is actually Hyperdip.

Also...

KIA HQ still doesn't have an option for Canadian Tellurides and a wiring harness for towing so...

This morning I purchased and installed the Hyundai Pallidade 2023 part.

S8F67AC800

I did not connect the trailer brake harness under the dash but it was included in the above part box.

Relatively easy install, apart from fighting with the Styrofoam insert for the jack.

One thing to note: if you disconnect your battery, as per the instructions, you may have to do a power liftgate reset procedure to get it to close. This only takes 15 seconds to complete, once you have a step ladder setup to reach the outter button.

Broke down and purchased the LED door sills from BloomCar. Install was a breeze, though I was hoping for the newer KN logo. This one is growing on me, and I love the color choices, the brightness, and the effects.

Nothing too exciting just put the HAKKAPLELIITTA R3 SUV winter tires and wheels on 🤷‍♂️20231110_082250.webp

Haaah! Yea, I know, nothin' yet. But let's use our imaginations for the time being. What WOULD you do to your Kia Telluride if you had it?

Maybe it’s somewhere on this site but I fixed my keyless entry not working on the driver side of my 2023 SX-P. It’s been bugging me for forever and my local Kia said they needed “2-3 business days to diagnose the problem before we can fix it”. I know the issue has been documented on other forums as a bad door handle connector and it’s a minor fix (that came as a quote from a Kia dealer).

All I did was pop the door handle off (several videos online show you how to do that), unplug the wiring harness from the handle and plug it back in. Now it works again!! I’m not super mechanically inclined and this only took me 2 minutes but saved me a ton of hassle with a dealership.

Nice work. I always use YouTube videos to save a lot of time money doing very basic things like replacing the cabin air filters on all my cars. Why pay for 30 mins labor when you can do it in less than 10?

What cross bars are those?

Those were the Thule Wingbar Evos I put on the car not long after purchasing. Something like $750 total.

For me, they were a colossal waste of money. I ended up trading them to another owner for something like $300 and the stock Telly cross bars.

I agree they are expensive but why did you not like them? I have a set on my truck ARE shell and I think they are great... but I bought them used so didn't spend over $300.

The rubber strip that goes down the middle repeatedly came off. I had warranty claim in with Thule for a different matter and they sent me another set of bars, which was good on them, I was very happy with that, and that gave me some extra rubber strips to back on the installed bars. Then they too came off. When that rubber strip comes off, you get this decently loud whistle sound from the bars. Not just the normal wind noise which was perfectly fine for me, but a whistle.

Once I lost the rubber strip for a second time, I was done. I removed the bars, installed the last extra rubber strip I had, and posted them up for sale. The guy that bought them traded his OEM bars along with $300 for the Thules.

They are nice bars, and I really wanted them to work out, but it was becoming too much work for them. I had bars on my 2013 Ford Explorer for 10 years. No issues.

I've had bars on my wife's 2018 Sorento, and with the exception of her somehow closing the garage door, while the car was still going under it and ripping the rear bar off the car, we've had no issues with those as well.

Sometimes simplier is just easier. The OEM will do the job I need, which is put a cargo box on top when/if I need to.

Understand.

How is it wired up? Was that difficult?

I added the lighted door sills from the 1st gen to my 2nd gen (2024). The fronts look like this and the rears, not pictured, are black and silver, non-lighted though. Instructions from the 1st gen install are correct but the wires to tap into are in different spot in the harness. Not hard to figure out though.

How about the rear ones ? Or just the front ones

How difficult was the process mind sharing steps for a noob? I’ve been interested in doing this and haven’t seen another owner do it, looks nice!

Edit: are the seat adjustment buttons aftermarket? Our 24 SX-P doesn’t have them
