Strange headlight pattern?

Last night when I went out I noticed the headlight pattern on my EX is quite different than any other vehicle I've ever owned. When looking at the alignment on the garage door, all's good. At a distance the cutoff is very good. High beam pattern on the garage door is good.
But as you can see, there is a significantly brighter, semi-diagonal pattern (~35 degree angle right-to-left) low in front of the car. That remains the same for high and low beam.
All my other cars (all with factory Xenon HID) display a consistent amount of light close in to the car with nothing like what the Telly is doing.
Is this pattern a Kia Telluride safety feature, or are my lights somehow misaligned right in front of the car??? Must say I don't particularly like it...

Are you sure you didn't replace your headlight with an LED bulb? Even the OEM LED bulb in my wife's 2018 RAV4 Limited Hybrid has light and dark patches even though much better (brighter) in general then my EX's new LED bulbs.

None of my other cars have light and dark like this - it's REALLY pronounced. Wonder if it's to help with the pedestrian / bicycle safety system?
My photo is with the original factory-installed 60W Sylvania halogens. I am replacing them (today) with a whiter Sylvania SilverStar Ultras. Not in the mood to mess with LEDs - had too many problems with another car and non-factory LEDs. These Ultras will be a bit whiter than standard halogen, though less than LED or Xenon.

I haven’t noticed that on mine. Have you tried adjusting the positioning of the bulb? Perhaps it’s not situated in the housing correctly?

I replaced the bulbs this morning. I had to pull the antifreeze reservoir to get a good look inside the light housing. And lo and behold, that factory bulb was not seated properly. It was hooked under two of the slots but over the the third. So it felt secure, but was pointing left. Hopefully tonight’s ride will be lit properly!

Hi..what happened after you secure it properly...those dark patterns went away or still dere ? i am also noticing those dark spots same like what you mentioned.so tell me if they went away..and if yes then i will also try reopening and fixing again. thanks..

Mine are fine now. Definitely not as good as my HIDs (on 2 other cars), but acceptable. Drove 20 miles on black back Massachusetts roads tonight and they were fine.
However I definitely think the 10” display doesn’t dim anywhere near dark enough for an unlit road - hard on the eyes. I’ll need to work on that.

Thanks for the update...i will check the position once again just to be sure..overall the light is good and bright.. it's just those spots near down left and right side.

Hi guys... been reading up on the forums recently and came across this thread. Interesting enough I put LED bulbs and have dark spots. Sent the vendor a message to see if it's a defect. Never seen something like this with HIDs.
