• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So I have a 2021 Telly SX. When I put my turn signals on, the larger portion of the rear tail light blinks. I like this because it's a big bright light that gets attention when you're turning. However, I've noticed that when I'm behind other Tellurides, their turn signals are just a small red light built into the loer part of the bumper. I've seen some cars that I know are newer than mine because of the newer badge, and some that have the older style badge like mine. Not sure if they are the same or newer than mine.

My question is, when did they move the rear turn signals way down on the lower bumper? Or do I maybe have some dealer modification?

Just curious.

I have a 2023 and mine blink the large portion like yours. I have also noticed the lower bumper turn signals and hate it.

It is mostly related to trim line.

Ah ha. Thanks, that explains it. I much prefer the whole taillight blinking. Seems much safer.

Turn signals in the rear bumper are only on pre-refresh (2020-22) cars with the halogen taillight units. In the US, that’s the LX and S (EX and up have LED units like yours). In Canada, it’s the EX and SX (SX-L has LED).

For post-refresh lower trims, they still have the same main taillight unit, but now the lower half is used for the turn signal in addition to the brake light. No more signals in the bumper.
