Are there any vehicle functions that will not work if WiFi is not enabled, i.e. Navigation, Find and Address, Stolen Vehicle, Emergency Service, etc.? I'm not inclined to purchase it when current cell plan is adequate.

All the Verizon hotspot plan does is use your car’s Verizon signal to supply internet for people who would be connected to your vehicle’s WiFi network.

Other features require a Kia Connect subscription.

I had wondered the same thing. I used up my entire free allotment of free Wifi while sitting in a parking lot for about 40 minutes for a meeting. I turned it off and everything else has worked great since then. My phone has a great plan for when using it as a Wifi Hotspot. My phones' T-Mobile hotspot is at least 10 times faster that what I was getting with the built-in Verizon wifi so I don't ever plan to turn it back on.

Bought '24 in January. Never turned the WiFi on and not aware of anything missing. Had Kia Connect until I found that it was spyware, turned it off and told Kia to delete my user id and all files. Whether they did or not I have no way to know. Nothing missing from that being gone either except, hopefully, the spyware function.
