• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi guys, just wondering if there are many Canadian owners in this forum. Curious if you have had any issues where you have had to contact Kia Canada. If so, have they been cooperative?.
Thanks

Hi,

I'm a Canadian owner of the Telluride but unfortunately or fortunately depending how you look at it, I have never had to call Kia Canada for an issue. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Are you having an issue with your local dealer and they won't fix something?

I have had a few issues with the car and I have 4000km on it. I bought it from a dealer 5 hours away, but the local dealer who is 30 minutes away doesn't seem to want to look at any possible warranty issues. So I am a little pissed.

sounds like you might be in a remote area so trying another dealership isn’t a possibility?

I have a dealer 30 miles away, 60 miles away and 3 or 4 in Calgary. Another 3 dealers in Edmonton which is 5 hours away. I bought my Telluride in Edmonton.

That does seem like a long way to go to get it worked on, I think there are some dealerships that hesitate doing work on vehicles that were not purchased with them. That makes no sense since after sale service is more profitable than initial sales.

Does the local dealer feel it is not a warranty issue or there’s nothing wrong with the vehicle?

Maybe try the dealership that is 60 miles away to see if they are more accommodating but calling Kia Canada may give you guidance.
