Looking for advice on how far apart to space the cross bars when installing them? Don’t have the instructions so looking here. Thanks.

Thanks so much for the information. Exactly what I was looking for.I installed mine with the cross bars 29” apart and the rear bar about 32.5” from the end of the side rails on the rear end of the of the car.
Images of them installed on my other thread.

Thule WingBar Evo and Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box
In case anybody was considering installing the Force XT XXL rooftop cargo box from Thule on their Telluride, I am happy to report there is plenty of clearance for the tail gate when opened. Depends on what brand you bought. If you have the OEM or Snailfly, here’s the spacing.Looking for advice on how far apart to space the cross bars when installing them? Don’t have the instructions so looking here. Thanks.
Can you please send me that image? It fails loadingDepends on what brand you bought. If you have the OEM or Snailfly, here’s the spacing.
Thanks much! I installed mine with the original spacing and it worked perfectly! No wind noise at all. I’m yet to add a platform on top later on next month hopefully and see how that goesThe recommendation in the drawing is:
Rear tip of the rail to the outside of the rear crossbar: 30in
Space between the inside edges of the crossbars: 31.5in
Outside of the front crossbar to the front tip of the rail: 21.75in
But I found that drawing to be off by a couple inches to reality and this recommendation did not work for the cargo carrier I use. I've had my crossbars on for almost 6 years and I just have the rear tip of rail to the rear crossbar outside edge at 30in and then the space between the insides of the crossbars at 16in. This allows me to mount the cargo carrier level, in other words the crossbar mounts aren’t at the spots that start to curve on the rear or the front. I think this helps make sure I don’t have too much air pushing down or up because my fuel efficiency doesn’t change too much. I can still open the sunroof if needed.
