• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello forum,

This is my first post here but I’ve been a part of many other car forums for a very long time.

Last week I bought a used 2024 SXP-XL and after getting it home I realized it doesn’t have the correct wheels on it. For some reason this thing has some Telluride wheels from an older model?! This set off some alarm bells for me and I’m hoping this forum can help!

Were these wheels offered as an option on the 2024? From a lower trim? My searches show they were original equipment on 2021-22.

Any help is appreciated.

They were on the regular SX and SX with Prestige package from 2020-22.

My best guess is the first owner had an older Telluride and preferred the look of their old wheels. They swapped them to their new ride and left the 2024 wheels on their old ride.

This would make sense since these are arguably the best wheels offered on any Telluride.

I agree with you that they look better than the newer xline wheels. This also makes a bit of sense since the dealer put brand new tires on the car prior to my purchase and she only has 18k miles on the odometer. The salesman also mentioned that this was traded on a Genesis suv so maybe the PO has some brand loyalty (ish)

Wheels look great - much better than the ones on mine.

Question - I hadn't seen or noticed the Telluride badge under the mirrors before. Is that aftermarket, or did some models come with that badging? It looks good.

Another great question! I also like the vinyl graphic on the side, which I haven’t seen on any others. I’m guessing it was also done by PO this mystery person had good taste…

I haven’t seen any other evidence of tinkering.

Makes me wonder if this belonged to a forum member.

It’s a long shot but If you’re from southwestern PA and recognize this vehicle please PM me.

Since I started this thread I won’t feel bad if I derail it.

I had the front windows matched to the rest of the car.

I also took a gamble on this Amazon trim overlay for the center console. Piano black and Husky fur don’t play nice. I’m very happy with both. Most importantly the wife is happy - it’s her buggy.

Lookin' good!

How close is the overlay color/pattern match to the dash? Fairly easy to install? Could you post a link to the one you purchased? Thanks.

For some reason this forum won’t let me link to Amazon. It’s the piece branded as JUVEEL and priced at $85. Just search for telluride console trim.

Fit is really good. It attaches with double-sided mounting tape, which is preinstalled on the trim. Color and pattern is near perfect. I really can’t tell any difference between it and the factory faux wood.

Found it! Thanks for the reply.

Let me know what you think of it.
