• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Purchased a white 2025 Telluride in December. Trying to figure out meanings of all the icons and controls so went to the paper user manual. If you don't know the exact name of what you are looking for, the index is pretty useless. So I downloaded the digital user manual. Guess what? Not searchable. I have called Kia once and email them twice to see how to get a searchable digital manual to no avail. Anybody have a 2025 Telluride searchable user manual?

On a Windows desktop:

Open the manual's PDF file with a browser instead of the Adobe PDF reader, then hit "CTRL-F" to open the search bar in the browser.

I ran into this same issue when I purchased my new 2021 Telluride in June 2021. The problem isn’t just with Kia manuals—many PDFs aren’t truly searchable, especially if they contain scanned images instead of actual text. My Mac’s Preview app struggles with this, and even Adobe Reader can be hit or miss depending on how the document was formatted.

Lately, I’ve been using ChatGPT to work around this. I upload the entire PDF to my ChatGPT-4 client on my Mac, and then I can ask any question in plain English—just like asking a person. ChatGPT will search the document and provide a clear answer, often with the page number if needed. It’s much faster and easier than manually scrolling through the manual or dealing with a clunky index.

If Kia doesn’t provide a better digital version on the web, this might be a good workaround for you.

Sounds like a good approach. I have only been using the lower level chat gpt so will have to do some research on this but it sounds viable
