• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Does anyone know what the official function or purpose of the plastic tabs are just ahead of the rear wheel wells?

They look almost like miniature mud flaps, but they're on the forward side of the rear wheels...

It’s for aerodynamics.

What year is yours ?
Checked both vehicles, no plastic tabs............( both were ordered )..

2025 sx prestige x-line - purchased Oct2024.
our vehicle has the tabs. I first noticed them earlier this week and wondered the same. I even checked both sides of the vehicle...felt better after confirming the tab was in fact in both wheel wells.

Mine is a 2025 SX-P. I have also seen them on 2024 and 2025 X-Line and X-Pro Tellurides when I was shopping around. If you watch reviews on Youtube you can clearly see them if the camera angle allows. The pics in my first post show both the SX-P, and the SX-P X-Pro. If you had your running boards installed at the factory, it's possible they were left off to accommodate the installation of the running boards. Those tabs are also on the Hyundai-Palisade.
