Oil change info..

According to the 2024 owners manual, an oil & filter replacement requires 7.08 qts. of oil.
According to the 2025 owners manual, an oil & filter replacement requires 6.87 qts. of oil.
I asked Kia why there is a difference & what amount I should use as they're the same engine...............their reply:

My 1st oil change on my 25 needed about 6.5 qts. to get to the top of the dipstick mark.
Taking the 24 in for it's 3rd oil change on 10/07/2025, will pay attention to what it takes.

I would suggest filling approximately to the top dot on the dipstick, then looking for a new hobby.

I tried to buy both of them from Motion as they are local to me.
Both times they wouldn't move from MSRP on the price.
I ordered the 24 @ 1K below MSRP.
I ordered the 25, wound up getting it @ $3500.00 below MSRP.
I do use their service dept. for warranty repairs..

BTDT over the MANY years in my career. Even in the published data sources from BMW (My former career) there were discrepancies of 6.5L, 6.0 & 7, depending which you were looking at: Repair information, Tech Data or other.

Having done this for longer than I care to think about. I change HOT (gets it all out) and place 7 in the crankcase. Start, verify level and check for leaks. Close the hood and drive...

When we bought ours in 2020, they had the lowest markup and when ours got delivered it was a 2021 not 2020 and honored the same price. Their service department is amazing when dealing with warranty.
