That's great! Florida has been one of the states that has been receiving the most inventory, so maybe being there helped a lot!

Most likely the dealer received an allocation that wasn’t part of a special order or another customer didn’t want it. The black interior is the most common and probably helped.

Hello everyone. I've been following this thread since June when I tried to custom order an SX-P. Kia was mot accepting orders then. When I heard they were taking orders again I shopped around my area (South Florida) to get the best deal. I got a fantastic offer and placed my order for SX+P (no tow) on gravity gray w/black interior on 7/28. To my shock and surprise, I got the call today that my vehicle arrived!!!! After reading these posts, I was prepared to wait until close to the end of the year. I am confused, but pleasantly surprised. I checked the Dealer's website and sure enough, it is in their inventory. Picking it up tomorrow.

Maybe. All I know is they received the car this morning and called me this morning and said your car is in and it's exactly what we ordered and is the same out the door price we agreed on. Not bragging.... Just happy.

Yep. Happy for you! But from seeing the process here, there is no way it was built to specs and shopped in 13 days. 13 days is fast for the shipping even for Florida. There are reports of vehicles being pulled or grabbed by dealers to fulfill orders if it matched. So definitely happy you got it!

That sounds logical. Now I just have to hope the finance department doesn't try to pull any punches when we going to do the paperwork tomorrow.

We finally got the call that our sx limited (we are in Canada) is on its way. Gravity grey with black nappa.
ETA is August 28th
Going in on Monday to do our trade in and get a loaner vehicle until it comes.
We ordered on April 12th in Edmonton, Alberta

Picked up my Telluride SX-P yesterday. There was a small misunderstanding about our out the door price and the finance guy immediately took off an extra $1k. All said and done, I think I got a fantastic price and it was the best experience I've ever had buying a new vehicle.

Not sure what happened but I'm guessing my original order on May 15th actually went through before the SXP orders were put on hold, not the July 28th confirmation that order was accepted.
Any advice for getting a car shipped? The dealership is in CA and I'm in OR. Got a family and friends deal so that's why it's being shipped.

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

Ordered in March 19 and finally came in the end of June but luckily I got a call from the dealer earlier and got what I wanted the day it arrived.

I ordered with Lee Johnson in Kirkland. Positive experience so far. I chose them because I purchased my previous car (a Chevrolet) from them.

We went in to finalize our financing on Monday and leave them our trade in (received a loaner until our telluride arrives). ETA on Monday was still August 28th. Our salesperson called in today that it arrived! She sent pictures as well as it’s the first one they have received.
We are getting 3M put on and roof rails so won’t be picking up until Friday.
We are also thinking of plasti dipping the rims black and getting black rims in the future.
