  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I saw a post a few weeks back that some folks were able to put in orders. The dealers in my area are saying no?

Orders were being accepted - I think they still are. But, you should find a dealer willing to take your order - and agree on the price WHEN you order. Some dealers don't want to take orders because they eat into allocations and they are often selling these vehicles with markup.

Interesting, every dealership I am talking to says this is not the case. Also, every one of them are talking about market price, not MRSP! This has been 7-12k!

Correct - that is the issue. They want to sell at market price, but orders typically can be negotiated at MSRP. Where are you located and how long are you willing to wait? There are a host of dealers on this forum that are willing to take orders at MSRP or better - you should just order with one of them! Check out the Good Dealer experience thread, or Kia of Muncie Indiana is ordering at MSRP or better. Some dealers state no dealer markup on this forum - those are your best shots.

Thank you for the tips! I am no rush at all. I have a trade in that is working just fine! I am in Mass but will definitely check out some of these other dealers.

Yes, you might have to reach a bit far outside your area - especially if you are near a major metro. In the Houston area, no dealer is taking orders at MSRP - but I found a couple near Dallas area. I was tempted to go to Missouri or even Indiana - but ultimately didn't have to.

And be prepared to wait 4-5 months at least.

Ft. Bend KIA in Rosenberg (outside Houston) doesn't markup. I ordered my SXP two weeks ago at MSRP, less any available discounts when it arrives.

Great, thanks for the info. At one point they were marking up for Tellurides in their inventory, but good to know they aren't doing it on orders. Good find!

Just ordered one this morning, at MSRP minus any incentives upon delivery.
How long is it going to take for you to receive the Telluride?

It depends on the trim. My SX with prestige package was delivered about 4 months after order. But, non-prestige SX and other trims are generally delivered faster.
