• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... If I was that concerned about getting an extra one mile per gallon, I would get a freaking hybrid

The fact that you cannot permanently turn this off is Ludacris. And no, I'm not shoving a business card in the crack of my console.

Agreed! Thank you EPA.

They have a memory module built for most of the kia models including the Stinger which will remember your last setting for ISG and auto hold. I'm sure they'll have one for the Telluride soon.

When you start the the car, push 2 buttons, once you get the routine,it gets to be automatic

Yes, but it I should not have to train myself for something a piece of machinery this advanced. I should be able to train the "machine" in the settings

This "feature" is showing up on lots of new cars.. I just rented a VW Tiguan while on vacation and it had it also. Being a rental and only had it for a couple days, did not check if it was able to be disabled other than via the button also.

Just get over it will not be long before the government makes the manufactures do away with the option button. don't blame the car makers, vote and get the ones that make the laws out.

1. I'll get over what I choose to get over.
2. Where did anyone blame a car maker? help me there....

Yes, many car have them now and more will have them in the future. I rented a VW Atlas and I couldn't figure out how to disable the Auto Off. At least with the KIA, it's a simple button.

Sometimes, at a real long stop light, it is nice to have that feature. That being said, I don't like it either. You don't have to train yourself.

1) If you forget to turn it off before heading out, press the button when the engine stops, it will instantly start and the Auto Off will be deactivated until the next time you start the engine.
2) Come to a gentle stop, without pressing the pedal hard. This will prevent the Auto Off from engaging.

Sorry it hit you wrong but really why come here and rant over something we have no control over. I really like all about the Telluride and so many are looking for little things to give the car a bad name. If you don't like it don't buy it simple as that. Anyway again sorry I pushed the wrong button on you but at least I did not use a card to stick in you to keep you quiet.

Nobody is trying to give the car a bad name. The car is great. The feature should have an internal setting to be permanently disabled just like every other setting.

And I came here to rent because this is a forum for doing so. It is a forum to speak freely about any topic regarding the Telluride.

I like the way some other manufacturers (e.g. BMW) place the "disable" button right next to the Engine Start/Stop button. Makes it easier to hop in, hit both buttons, and be done.

A lot of new cars are now coming with it with no button to turn it off at all, so feel blessed. I have a routine now, hit start, hit ISG off, hit auto hold on..off I go.
