I wanted to share my experiences here in Jacksonville, FL as they sound very similar to others in this forum. I only have 2 dealers in Jax and neither has a Telly on the lot for very long, in any model. After lots of youtube watching, I decided to test drive one...thinking to myself....am I really considering buying a KIA???? I was hooked after the test drive. All the bells and whistles under 43K!? I had previous been looking to but a F150 (to replace my 11 yr old Avalanche) and that sticker price with all the upgrades that the Telly has was over $50K. No thx!
Anyways, I seemed to have digressed.

The 2 dealers I looked at had a "market markups" of over $5k plus the usual BS fees of $899 Dealer prep, etc. Putting total close to $50k. I'm not a fan of paying MSRP, much less OVER by $5-7k or more. So I started to look online at other dealers in South GA and all over Florida. But ran into same issues,....mark ups, and or NO SXs on the lot (the model I want).
Then Google had a site called NowCar in my search results.
It is a dealer in Miami called Miami Lakes Auto Mall. Through this website you can order all kinds of cars and the Telly. After lots of emails with the rep, I ended up getting my SX just about $1500 under MSRP with no added fees from Dealer. :)
Rep said deliver is @ Mid Nov to Dec and they deliver to my home. I'm hoping that is accurate, but if I'm saving $5-7K, I can wait.
Figured I'd share to help with any other buyers out there. Not sure if deliver outside of FL.

Congrats, let's hope for best. But, you haven't taken delivery yet. Someone just posted about Miami Lakes Automall a few days ago and they wanted a markup on an SX-P. So, let's hope they don't do the bait and switch on you at delivery... this happens when the car is delivered and then when you go to pick it up, the salesperson is conveniently nowhere to be found, and sales manager tries to add markup. Anyway, let's hope for the best for your sake - please do share your experience once it's delivered.

I’ve been in contact with that exact place for the past 2-3 weeks. They won’t budge on the $2k markup on any S model. Hopefully you can get it for what you’ve agreed upon, but don’t get too excited until you have car in hand. Wish you the best and keep us updated!

Maybe that was buying direct at dealership? I ordered through their internet sales. And it will be delivered directly to me, not picking up at dealership. So dont see how they can bait and switch on me. But I do have everything in writing by email if they try to pull any BS on me.

As I said to JW. I went through the website, not direct with dealer. Maybe try that or has your experience been through Nowcar too?

I know exactly where is the dealer located. In fact, my wife had her initial test drive at the dealer in Miami Lakes. They were asking about $2-3k above the MSRP price. I got tired of waiting for dealers to receive more inventory or deal at MRSP or below. In the end, I bought a Honda Pilot from the dealer across the street.

Congrats on your new purchase. Please keep us posted on your buying experience with this dealer.

Like others have said... this deal did not happen until you have the key fobs in your hands and your maximus in the seat. Good luck and hope it does happen for yall.

I'm in Jax too. Terrible experience at Orange Park, Regency and Saint Augustine. They all had the same as you noted, $5-7k mark-up. Really curious to know if Miami will honor the contract with you, Miami is typically terrible all around.

So far so good. Everything in writing by email. Been keeping me updated too. Last one was on 10/14 that was being built today. Nothing sense, just emailed for an update. But from what I hear here, can still be awhile.

Just got an update. They sent me a VIN # and that vehicle has been invoiced. Delivery date of 11/03. I ordered on 10/01. Woo...freaking...hoo!!

Hello all.

This is my first post, but I wanted to let you all know about my experience in South FL.

Like everyone, I was having a tough time finding an SX-P. While digging around, I found Wallace Kia in Stuart. They had a black SX-P on the lot. I worked out the details via text with the salesman and
had it by Saturday afternoon. Small, quiet dealership that made it very easy. They also had another black SX in stock, but it wasn't Prestige(as of Saturday evening).

I hope this is helpful

I will be interested in hearing the results as I am in south Fl. Thanks!

Car was delivered to dealer yesterday and they sent me some pics. Just have to send financing paperwork to me today so I can sign and then will deliver to me in Jax. Again, I bought thru the website, newcar.com, to get it and the discount pricing. Experience has been great with them.

Did you buy or lease it?

Wow. They got you an order from scratch in four weeks?!

Yep.
G?G SX FWD.
Jason Fox said was probably due it being FWD for some reason. I guess not as in demand?

Yes, there is a good reason why it is easy to get a FWD Telluride. Outside of places like Florida no one would buy an SUV that isn’t AWD.

It isn’t so much that you actually need the AWD. It is that people will expect that when you go to resell it in states that get cold.

Honestly, I would love to get a FWD SUV but it just wouldn’t be a smart decision where I am and further north.

Did you pay MRSP or lower?

He never posted about the car actually being delivered to his home. And after this day, he was never heard from again.
Hmm...
