  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Any EX owners get the Homelink setup? Had a dealer tell me that he saw a Homelink mirror on an EX and that there is a possibility that a few EX's may have them.

I was told it’s on SX and up trim level.

Could have been an added option, believe it's a $250 option.

Unfortunately its not an option which really sucks. SX only

ok, it's an accessory. $250 accessory

On the stinger it was, so assuming it is for the Telluride also.

Not as simple, have to run new power wire to fuse box so you have to pull drivers side window piller moulding. Don’t know why pdf not showing, if anyone wants instructions email me and I can forward.

If its already an auto-dimming mirror as in the EX, wondering if that additional wire pull is needed. Would be nice if it could use the existing ADM plug. This is pretty much mandatory for me and I don't want to cough up the extra $$ for the SX.

I know on the stinger, the GT did have the auto dimming, but not the homelink and it was a plug and play application using existing wiring. I find it really hard to beleive they would use a differen wiring harness for these vehicles. Even so, I would imagine if you're not comfortable with that install, The dealer would do it for probably an hour labor. If you are buying new, make it part of the deal that they throw that in (the part and installation)

Haven’t seen the plug so maybe, let’s hope so. Sure makes sense but I’m guessing you do need 12v+ all the time with the Homelink? and it’s 12v switched on auto dimming.

I wish it was switched, would make it safer for people who have to park it outside.

I have a Stinger GT and the new Telluride... For my Stinger all I did was jump the power line to open pin..... I am assuming I would do the same... I purchased
the GEntex 1027 model off of Ebay..

For the EX with the factory auto dimming mirror, it is plug n play. The connector matches up exactly. Takes only a couple minutes to swap to the homelink mirror.

You have any pictures with the new mirror?

I didn't think to take one. It looks like the one in the ebay link, three buttons. For some reason, it doesn't match what's in the owners manual. The manual shows like five buttons. But, it works, though none of the buttons are illuminated. Common complaint.

So is this an add on for the SX-P ? Can anyone with the SXP let me know if you have this minor?

As stated above, the SX has Homelink.
