• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I just replaced the two front speakers in my Telluride LX. The install was pretty simple, but I'm not satisfied with the mid-bass sound quality. I will probably be updating them to the
Rockford Fosgate P1675-S soon. Here are a few pics if anyone is interested.

I only had to remove the cover over the rear view mirrors' mounting bolts and remove the screw that is inside the door handle. Just remove the cover with a small flat tipped screw driver and the screw will be underneath.

Try to use a plastic prying tool when removing the panel from the door.

I cut out the speaker's basket, cone, and magnet to accommodate for the new speakers. This also makes it very easy to install the speakers without having to purchase, or build, a mounting plate. I was also able to de-solder the original wires for the voice coil off of the factory plug that connects to the original wiring harness. This prevents having to purchase any wiring adapters as well as keeping the doors' wiring harness cut free. Make sure to double check your wiring diagram for the correct polarity.

Sound deadening installation was supposed to be done by removing the inner door panel. To do this, you would have to remove the glass and unbolt the door latch to remove the regulator and panel assembly. I just stuck whatever I could through the speaker hole and added a few pieces to the inner panel.

This is great. None of the aftermarket guys have kits yet...too new. Prob gonna replace all but the dash speakers.

Didnt like the Kickers? Also, is the rear door the same setup?

Thx.

Have you tried crutchfield for aftermarket kits and speakers ?

Did you replace the tweeter as well? Was thinking of buying component speakers for the front
