  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... No. Sometimes easier to find with less scrolling.

Muncie's is not from American Guardian... it's from Fidelity Warranty Services (also not a great rating on that same www.consumeraffairs.com/auto_warranty/ site)

That being said - I had 6 previous contracts with American Guardian Warranty Services, Inc. 4 more than paid for themselves and 2 broke even (newer model years). Just gotta be sure to follow the rules. Pre-authorization being key...

FWIW

All depends on the relationship with the dealer/service shop and the warranty company I think. I have Warranty Solutions on my Infiniti as well as on my Porsche (what the dealer offered). It has horrible reviews online, however on my Infiniti it has paid for itself probably 5 times over already (I'm in $17k in repairs on the Infiniti over the past 1.5 years now). Still have 3k miles and 7 months left of the warranty. Last year they tried to buy me out, I declined for obvious reasons ;)

I bought the KIA Telluride SX about a month ago and the 10 year/100k bumper to bumper warranty mainly due to all the electronics on this car. If any of the electronics goes that means tearing the entire dashboard apart more than likely on top of the parts, etc. which will be extremely costly each time anything happens. The peace of mind to me was worth it at $3,999 from KIA of Irvine however, it sounds like I may have been taken to the cleaners on the amount charged based on some of these other posts.
You can still cancel it and get it much cheaper. Would have been better if you did within 30 days though.

I know I have mentioned it previously but @Jason Fox and his team at Kia of Muncie have great affordable options! I have had the tire and wheel protection on most of my jeeps and it has paid for itself over the years. many flat tires driving through NYC. And the plan they sell is accepted at dealerships nationwide. :)

I wish I knew this could apply to tire as well. I declined the extended (quoted around $2600, but he had it wrapped into the payments so it didn’t seem like much), but purchased the tire because of my history with tires and rims. I’m certain it would have been less at Muncie but I didn’t even think of it. I plan on emailing Jason for the extended.
Thank you for an informative thread!

We sell the KIA backed warranty.
Jason is there a time limit to get a extended warranty through you? When I got my Telluride they tried to sell me the extended warranty, but I already knew you could beat the price.
