• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hello, I may have missed it here but I was looking for some opinions on the premium sound system. Is it really good? This is something I always take into consideration when buying a vehicle. Hoping for crystal
clear signs and mid-range and deep, undistorted bass. Does it sound good at lower volume or do you need to crank it up? How adjustable is the sound?
Thanks!

A relevant thread below. I replied in that thread. I find the SX sound system to be very good - but you should adjust it to suit your preferences. There are a couple of settings that you might need to enable to get best sound out of it - noted in the thread.

Yes, I am little worried because I am very particular about audio. But I am set on getting this vehicle, so if I need to make some aftermarket adjustments so be it.

Well that doesn't bode well.........

It's an opinion. The reason for the echo I believe is that the sound defaults to the center of the vehicle, but you can adjust the speaker output left/right , front / center and eliminate it. Really need to play with settings. I think it's highly customizable, and sounds fine. Is it perfect? No, but then by your recent posts, it sounds like you want a more expensive vehicle.

Actually I would like a less expensive vehicle and still get all the cool stuff, this seems to be the closest thing to it. I had a Harman Kardon system in a 2015 Genesis and it sounded really good! I was hoping it would be the same quality as it’s the same brand system or maybe better since it’s 5 years newer.

My hubby is an audio snob and has an HK in his Volvo XC90. He LOVES it. It's what sealed the deal for him on that car. The Meridian we have in my Jaguar F Pace is a piece of shit!!

Yeah, only your ears will be able to tell. But, I highly recommend fiddling with the settings as I said! I think you'll be happy with it once you set it up. I assume since you like good audio that you're not a SiriusXM fan. The audio source does matter. I do wish it had a line in AUX port, but I can live with Bluetooth.

I've always thought sound was in the ear of the beholder. I have also notice in every other new car I've had, the sound quality improves over the months as the speaker break in. But then again, it could be that I just get used to it. In any case, every KIA I've had as a loan sound pretty much the same. All highs no low end. A lot depends on your audio source too.

Honestly I have Premium Alpine with Bose in my Durango and Premium sound in my Malibu Premier. I opted for the S trim Telluride with 6 speaker Kia Audio and guess what..its fine with great Bass too. Im sure the Harmon Kardon is good but it wasn't worth the SX upgrade to me for a sound system. The Kia one really sounds good and compared to the others its not that far behind really. My days of cranking the radio like I was 17 again are over anyway....my wife complains if its to loud....:ROFLMAO::eek::cautious:
