• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Less than 100 miles on my Telly. On my drive home, I had to hit the gas and pass a semi. Exceeded 80mph momentarily (speed limit was 70, dont judge). After a couple of minutes of driving, speedometer showed I was driving at 120mph, and cars were still passing me by. Took the first exit, parked the car, and the speedometer was stuck at 80mph, which happens to be bag in the center. Attached is an image I snapped when I had the car parked.

Came home, parked the car, had dinner, went back in 30 minutes and the speedometer was back at zero. As long as I keep the speed below 80, it behaves fine, but I breach the 80 limit, it malfunctions.

Has anyone else experienced this? So much for ranked #2 in initial quality.

I kinda like doing 80 standing still 😎 Have not seen that before.

I live in Louisiana where the speed limits are as high as 75 so yes I have driven over 80mph many times. No issues.

As long as you don’t go 88 you might go back to the future !!! Lol hopefully u get it fixed ASAP

Took it to the service department today. They have no idea what's wrong with the Telly and said they will need to connect with HQ.

They gave me a Sorento as a loaner. After driving the Telluride for only 150 miles, the Sorento felt plastic-y and a step down. After waiting so long for the Telly, looks like I will need to wait a few more days to get it back.

That's why the all new Sorento is coming. Going to be quite nice.

Looks like the service department needs to replace the entire cluster that contains the speedometer. The part is on backorder, so would probably be 2-3 weeks before it arrives. I got my Telly back, no way I am driving a Sorento till then. The digitial speedometer still works, so all good.

Not sure why cars even have analog speedometers any more...I never look at them. I would miss the analog RPM, but all the room the speedometer takes could be used for the navigation system or something useful.

Shocking to see so many complaints in every review
Kia needs to seriously address all such issues..its a 50K$ car

Quick question - why are you trolling every negative comment with some inane comment about it being "shocking"? You don't even have a Telluride... just curious. There are going to be issues with every vehicle... a few problems here and there isn't a widespread phenomenon. You also posted some off-topic stuff about Hyundai/Kia/Genesis becoming more like Mercedes and BMW. I suppose your perspective is as a potential customer in the UAE... they'll get more over there soon. In the meantime, enjoy the G80 and 540i that you're driving! We should all be so fortunate.

It is being addressed and fixed under warranty. The only thing that would be shocking is if they WOULDN’T fix it.

I'm just going to have to make use of the "ignore" button for my own sanity. Ha.
I was just about to mention that...ha ha!
