Roll Call - How long are you waiting for delivery of your Telluride

I ordered my Telluride SXP, white with light grey interior December 20, 2019. I was told at the dealer, orders were looking to arrive late March 2020 to late April 2020. I just called my dealer to get an update on an ETA and I am being told possibly the middle of June. I am a patient person but to expect folks to wait 6 months is asking a lot. My lease on my Chrysler van ended last week. Had been told when I bought the van from multiple dealers that we could extend the lease month to month as needed. Instead of allowing me to keep the van, Chrysler would only allow an extension on my lease only if I was buying a new Chrysler and had to wait on the order. This misinformation has us without a primary vehicle. Now I must wait to get the Telluride. Wonder how long it takes to get the Hyundai Palisade?

Ordered 14 September, and no I haven't gotten a VIN. I went through a dealership that gets a very small allotment of Tellurides, so my wait times are longer than usual.

Ordered white SXP with Grey int and tow on 10/12/19. No update on delivery date yet. No VIN created. Fortunately we don't "need" a new vehicle right now so we can wait it out.

Wow. I have to be honest. Since I got home I’ve seen 3 Palisade ads and I really like the Telluride but not sure I want to wait 5 more months plus. Wonder what Palisade wait times are? Cannot believe no vin numbers assigned yet after almost 6 months. They are suppose to ramp up production but does not seem to be getting any better on wait times. One thing really preventing me jumping ship is the $1000.00 hostage fee. I mean down payment

I ordered a white/butterscotch sx awd on 1/15/20. I thought it would be a little quicker without the prestige package but who knows. I hope it comes in by july 13th for a family vacation to Colorado. If not we will take my ram 1500 crew cab. 5 people may be a little tight though. I have to remind myself that these are first world problems!

You ordered in December? It will be a while. What do you mean no VINs assigned after 6 months? Palisade can be had right now... but if you want one, hurry, as Hyundai has stopped production for time being.

When the car is being manufactured, the way I understand is kia assigns a vin and after being told the vin it is about 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.

I don't think this is the case anymore. See the "Order to Delivery" thread. Guy just said he got his VIN number 6 days ago, and he is already driving his new car around tonight!

My dealership is still having 3-4 week waits from when VIN is created. Mine personally will be 26 days if delivered on its schedule date (03/05).
From order to delivery, my SX AWD (non P) will be 5 months from a top 40 dealership.

Ordered a Sangria EX in Gray with premium package the later part of December, dealer was able to enter it into KFOS the middle of January. Received my VIN last Monday and it is showing a delivery date of the 12th of March. Dealer says that they are starting to get deliveries earlier than what the ETA's have been. Look for a higher volume dealer to order from, they get more distribution.

Just from reading other posts it looks like the SXP awd seem to be taking longer to get. Read an article that it too Kia by surprise the number of high end tellurides being ordered. Said the only made 58k last year and looking to make 100k this year. Just hope they step up production. Getting depressing seeing so many waiting 6 plus months. It is captain insano!

Omg so much of waiting...we got lot of Tellurides and Palisade. here in UAE.
We can buy it whenever we want to.

I went in and put a down payment of $500 on SX-P on Friday Feb 28 and picked it up Monday Mar 2. I was told it would be March 10 but they called Saturday and said it showed up early. The VIN was issued Feb. 20. I didn’t even realize these were hard to get until I saw this forum. The dealer said I was lucky to get an SX-P that fast but I thought he was just blowing smoke. If you all want to drive to Clarksville Indiana they had three or four other models on the lot.

Waiting since mid November for a Grey/Black SXP

Because of low dealer allocation I'm assuming I'll end up with an early 2021 model. That is assuming Kia does nothing to fix the logjam on ordered SXP's.

If you want it bad enough, go find it using the tools. Otherwise be prepared to wait a long time.

I waited nearly 3 months (12 weeks), wife basically said if we didn't have notice with an ETA by 4/1 that we'd be buying something else. Knowing what I know from this forum, I had an idea that odds were slim we'd find out much by 4/1. So I went fishing and found it. There are tons to be had if you want to pay say $2k over MSRP or even easier in the $5k+. But at MSRP, it's not easy... but can be done. Some luck will need to fall your way (ok lots), but don't get too discouraged.

I ordered my Dark Moss/Dune Brown interior SXP with towing package on July 26th, 2019 when orders opened back up. I ordered from my small allocation dealer in Salem, Virginia. I knew wait would be long. Dealer put in KFOS in middle of August and i got a VIN on December 18th. The vehicle was received by dealer on December 31st and i took delivery on January 2nd, 2020. A little over 5 months of waiting before i took delivery but it was worth it as vehicle is great. I had test drive everything from Palisade, new Explorer, Atlas, Pilot and 2019 Highlander but nothing compared to the Telluride for me.

I made my down payment of $1000. On Feb 6 2020. At a dealer in Tonawanda NY (Dark Moss, gray,SX awd P/T ) we were told
5 to 6 months. But on 3/4/20 less than a month, my dealer said to expect Telluride around April 8. I asked for a order number but was told they’ll get back to me. We promised friends who live in Delaware my Nissan Pathfinder (premier) BUT NOT TILL JUNE AT THE EARLIEST. I wish I new what to believe!!
