• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi, I am wondering if it would be possible to use my old winter tire/wheel package on my Telluride. It is 17x8, ET35, 5x112, at least according to this ad for a matching set of wheels. I know nothing about wheels and I ordered these off Tire Rack for my old 2009 Toyota Highlander 8 years ago. I know 17" won't look as nice compared to my 20" wheels, but if I can save a couple bucks at least right now, I wouldn't mind. I still like the look of my old wheels. Thanks for any advice!

I think your brake rotor and caliper are too big for 17s.

OK thanks, I appreciate the advice!

Yeah, the bolt patterns are different but can be managed by using 5x114.3 conversion spacers. Regardless, a 17-inch wheel can safely clear a 355mm rotor and anything beyond that would be risky.
