So what’s the guess on when they take first orders for the 2021?

My car is coming in June. A 2020 and the only thing I’m seeing on the 2021 that I’d want would be the blackout package depending on price. But even that could be done aftermarket if it’s what I really want. Just a little frustrated that my order is getting filled and the 2021s are arriving!

I expect that KFOS will open next month at or around the 15th. We already know 2020 order books are closed. So as soon as KFOS opens up - 2021's will start being processed.

Great info on 2021 Stephen. We have spoken earlier on another thread. I have 2 cars on order as my initial order was without tow and another one with tow that per dealership is slotted for July end ETA. Question is will that be 2021 model by that time frame.?

It’s possible.. keep in mind there a 3rd party companies like CarToys that can update your current Key to remote start where you simply hit the lock button three times and it remote starts.

I have auto start installed at bestbuy. They installer programmed my keyfob to autostart the car. 3 presses on the keyfob lock button the car will start. It was the compustar brand. I got it on sale for $300 including installation.

If you had not gotten a call from your dealer in the last week specifically saying your 20 is converting to a 21 than it will be a 20 since you have an ETA

you can always double check with dealer.. but we got sent a list of people that are changing over and to contact them to see if they would do so to keep their order in or take it out.

If you had not gotten a call from your dealer in the last week specifically saying your 20 is converting to a 21 than it will be a 20 since you have an ETA

you can always double check with dealer.. but we got sent a list of people that are changing over and to contact them to see if they would do so to keep their order in or take it out.

For the list of people you are contacting for the change over: 1- are they want to keep order, must do so without MSRP info? 2- can they make changes to their orders based on new options?

I luckily only had 6 as a store. 4 of them have the option to keep the order the same way and switch to 2021. They all said yes.(Not changing their order at all)

2 unfortunately were deposits on someone's order who backed out for whatever reason.

Kia said if we deliver(sell) a car and the name on buyers order isn't the same as the person who orders than the dealer will be penalize. (lose Tellurides)
Kia also mentioned they will replace the Telluride with a 2021 regardless but if someone backs out then it wont be an exact match or could be just not guaranteed.

So with those individuals they have first dibs on whatever they assign us.(2021) Having to work with these individuals a little different due to the circumstances. I personally have one out of the six in total.

Placed is secured because they are already previous allocation from months before

Yes. The engine stays on when I open the door.

do you happen to know if Kia is honoring 2020 pricing for those people who got switched from 20MY to 21MY? Is that up to dealer? I’ve seen comments on both sides And I’m curious! We haven’t heard from the dealer yet but have a feeling we will be changed since we went in on March allocations as first but have no updates. I also saw someone with the same model as ours say they got pushed to a 21. The lookup tool has only had 2 cars with our trim level, interior/exterior choices since production restarted And they were going To different states

I can see if you had an ETA - the pricing issue comes into play - but given the demand on these things - I will gladly pay the new 2021 price to get mine into production. Hoping to have an ETA in a few weeks. Come on KIA - don't disappoint!!!

Definitely will pay if I need to, just curious what Kia is saying about this. I thought if you had a legit ETA, you would have a 2020 as that means It’s in production/transport? My understanding was that anything the dealer says before that time is just a guess and not a real ETA?
