Hello all, looking for best products people are using to keep the interior plastic scratch free and clean? I ordered the WeatherTech protectors for the door handles and rear lift but looking for an interior product that is not shiny or sticky.
Honestly, mild soap and water is your best bet for cleaning and care. You can achieve a short-term sheen by using various other products, but nothing of that sort will prevent scratches. The plastic is non-porous, thus it will absorb nothing. Therefore you will then deal with some level of glare on your glass from the shiny plastic.
If you are concerned about fading and eventual cracking, you should pursue as dark of window tint as your locality allows plus a windshield sunshade, such as the one KIA sells specifically for the Telluride.
Just my .02 cents, for free!
Investing in a good ceramic tint and sunshade is the key. A good ceramic tint job will cost you 750.00. It's worth the money. Reducing the heat in your car is what preserves the leather. Regularly clean and condition every month. The leather will last a long time.
My concern is the plastic along the bottom from kids/peoples feet getting in and out. We live in a rocky, sandy area and it makes its way inside leaving all kinds of marks on the plastic.Honestly, mild soap and water is your best bet for cleaning and care. Perfect, I will try it! ThxI have a 32 oz spray bottle with a homemade cleaning solution comprised of 1 teaspoon Meguiar’s Gold Class, 2 tablespoons white vinegar, and the balance distilled water. This is what I have cleaned the solid surfaces of my cars with for about 30 years. Soccer cleats, rocks, syrup, ice cream, candied fingers, basketball shoes, softball cleats and bats....no chance
I've tried the Griots detailer and wasn't impressed as it was hard not to streak with it, but maybe their interior stuff is better..I'll have to try it.
