• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just spoke with my dealer regarding my Telluride order. I ordered my Telluride on December 23, 2019. Ordered the top of the line fully loaded White AWD. My order got lost in the shuffle which delayed the order by 2 months then Covid 19 hit and delayed it again. I was told that Kia has stopped production of 2020 Tellurides and is currently retooling their plant and going to start production on the 2021 models on July 1st. I was told my order has been converted to a 2021 Telluride but it will cost me only $400.00 more to get the new model. The dealer said normally the new 2021's would be $3000.00 to $4000.00 more than the 2020's but are giving a reduced price for those 2020 back orders. I am suppose to get my order on August 15th. I had a feeling this would happen, because Kia had to retool eventually in order to get the 2021 models out. I was told that all 2020 orders are scrapped and offering those customers the 2021 models for a slight increase. I was told those who are buying Tellurides after March 2020 will pay more and that current 2020 Tellurides on the market are selling for much more than what I will be paying for the 2021. Anyone else going through this?

No offense, but your pretty late on the new models - this is the main point of discussions on the forum a right now...

Not only that, the price increase most people are seeing are from $100 to $500 not $3,000-$4,000. They are likely telling you that to make you think the price increase of $400 is a deal. It's like going to TJ Maxx and them putting a "Compare To" price on the tag. They literally could put anything on that tag and make it seem like you are getting a deal. Your dealer is simply passing on the price increase. I believe if they messed up your order you have every right to demand they pay for the price increase because of their mistake.

I am just ready to get the vehicle. We are fortunate that we have enough cars that we can get buy but had this been our only main transportation then I would have been really mad. I can only assume that there are no really new features but hopefully any glitches they had on the 2020 are fixed.

I must agree with Druke. You been waiting since December so there is no excuse for the dealership to charge you the 2021 price increase. And remember August 15th is just another ETA number that KIA likes to throw into the wind. All KIA dealers should agree to sell customer 2020 order that have been switch to 2021 at the quoted 2020 price! It's called customer service.
