In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2020 update 1 Available

sorry its on the home screen (the one you swipe left to see), the button is called 'HD Radio Data'
I have HD Radio Data on Home screen but when i click traffic and the Weather nothing can be found. I was in a parking lot so not sure if that is why traffic didn't pull up and i have no HD Weather radio stations near me to pull from so maybe why i didn't get anything under HD Weather. The other icon Fuel Price i do get options from UVO connection i guess which gave me the closest gas stations to me and the price for them. Let me know if i can do anything else to show you update.

right, so unless anyone notices otherwise, its safe to say they disabled HD Radio data after the update. no more free traffic and weather if you dont have a uvo subscription

Yes i agree as that is what it looks like. With Waze and Google Maps on Android Auto, they have some traffic updates but maybe not as good as HD Traffic information as i didn't use it before because i have no HD channels in my area that were transmitting weather or traffic info. If you are in area that does, the update does look like it makes that Home menu option under HD Radio Data sort of useless. I didn't use it much but for people who do I guess Kia is trying to get more UVO subscriptions after the first free trial year along with keeping remote start and climate control from UVO app.

thanks. can you just click the 'hd apps' button on the setup screen and tell us if your weather, doppler and traffic apps are working?
I have the new update and you still have the hd apps. I am in a area with HD Radio data. I know the doppler still works, I just checked it a couple days ago.

interesting. when you use navigation, do you see the 'HD' logo enabled at the top? or is it greyed out

When i use navigation, i have the HD Traffic logo at top but it is greyed out. I drove on interstate for a few miles towards a destination point put in Navigation but it stayed greyed out the whole time and when i clicked on it, it displayed the same No Information Available message for me.

Weather definitely now comes from UVO connection over air as i have attached some pictures. Weather app still shows current temperature along with humidity reading and percentage chance of precipitation. Navigation still has traffic alerts which appear to be coming thru UVO connection. First picture also shows the Android Auto split screen with the weather app up. Also navigation reads speed limit signs and will also display your current speed on the navigation screen as you can see from pictures attached. Navigation now has alerts for speed cameras and alerts for red light traffic cameras from what I am seeing. When I did the update, I went from Map Version 12.47.44 to 13.41.42 after new update.
Thanks for the pics. Like ur taste in music as well. :) Be mindful the Kia infotainment sys does not have the capability to "read" and process traffic signs. The speed limit is displayed based on the embedded database within the map software. Here's a thread on the subject from a few months ago. Also check out the link to the GPS / Nav forum within that thread. Heads Up Display - Update

Enjoy the ride

There were people complaining after the update some features stopped working since it offloaded processing to UVO servers, like voice commands and navigation routing, supposedly there's somewhere in options to revert processing to the onboard computer, so I wonder if the HD radio features are tied into that option too.

Thanks for the information as i really appreciate it as still trying to learn everything about this last map update version 14. I probably don't understand it all as it states it has camera alerts in the navigation system to reduce speed to speed limits similar to what i have seen on Asian Petrolhead videos on YouTube in South Korea. Where i live in a small city we don't have anything like that as we barely have red light cameras 😆 lol. I will read that forum link you provided as i need all the help and information I can get 😆 lol. As you can see, I keep radio locked on Hair Nation and as they say on there, where leather pants can never be too tight but mine unfortunately are and have been for many years 😆 lol as I cannot get into them anymore. Thanks again!

The new map update site is mapnsoft.com

They just released a new update that along with map data adds some great features. Very cheap for the usb drive too.
I installed version 14.41.41 excellent alot of improvements included photo radar warning, gas stations prices you can set for regular, mid-grade and super, 3D building view up to 3 days weather forecast and much more. I've gone 3 upgrades and I highly recommend this version.

It’s still crazy that you guys would use the UVO maps and not Google or Waze. Even Apple Maps is better. As far as the HD data it’s worthless. It really is. The Doppler radio is a joke you can’t move the the map around. So if your close to be outside the range you have no idea what the radar looks like. Try using the Westhet app for a week and compare it with your phone. HD radio told me all 4th of July weekend that it was either raining when it was sunny and 92. Or it would tell me that there is an 80% chance of rain at the moment. When again sunny and 92. Also I could have sworn that there was a full moon on the 4th. In fact I even lose it in my windshield. Yet the HD weather showed a crescent moon.

I think the problem is that we all spend 40+K on the vehicle and you want the built in HD and UVO data to be AWSOME. I meanwe are paying for it right. Yetit never will be as good as the data comming off of your phone which is truly real-time.

mine more thing is UVO navigation going to tell you where the cops are hiding? No but Waze and Google Maps will

Some of us don't have unlimited data on our phones and don't want to use it all up on using Google maps or waze if we don't' have to. Not looking for fancy, looking for functional.

There's plenty of reasons to use the UVO system, for starters doesn't need cell service, I run into issues with bad coverage so as good as Googlemaps or Waze are what good is it without a signal. Also like how it's integrated into the dash screen, and one thing I find annoying about Waze is draw distance and rendering in the city, sometimes find it hard to judge some distances since the auto zoom decides to zoom out further than it should. Major reason I wanted it was since my dad struggles with smart phones, but he's used Garmins for awhile, the UVO is similar to the Garmin so figure it be easier for him.

Each has it's pros and cons, i go between them, but usually will go with waze, but also my coverage and data is limited also sometimes just not worth fumbling with android auto for a few mile drive.

Also without wireless Android Auto currently as I still have an older phone, it is difficult to plug in your phone to use Waze or Google Maps when it might be a short drive and you don't need to have your phone charging which messes with the battery as short charges are not good for the battery memory. I like the UVO system as it seems pretty intuitive and the maps look pretty sharp after this Version 14 update. Now i am just hoping they keep dropping the price for the UVO subscription service to use it:).

For those who have ordered the usb, was the only payment option PayPal? I have no other option for payment at checkout, and I looked at pricing/payment FAQs and the site says PayPal is not required, with this specific info:
A PayPal account, or major debit/credit card (MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Visa)

Anybody else seeing only PayPal at checkou?

Same here but once you go to PayPal you can use any credit card you want and you do not need to register with Paypal

And we can or cannot get this done at the dealer? I am getting ready to drive cross country next week and the update would be nice, but not necessary. Not going too far off the beaten path.

Call up dealer ask if they have it, when I picked mine up they originally said all updates are done by the dealer. Also the USBs aren't VIN locked, actually they're not even solely for the Telluride but for a few 2020 Kias hence the 60GB size. I been considering just giving it to any EX or SX I see.

As someone with an SX I wouldn’t be upset if you PM’d me a link lol
But I have an appointment Thursday at the dealer and one of the things I asked for was map updates. Hopefully....

I wouldn't be upset if someone PM'd me a download link either. ;) lol.
