If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Good evening everyone. I just got off the phone with a no-markup dealer who told me that he couldn't select the tow option within his factory ordering system. This is interesting because if you use the Kia website's Telluride build tool, when you select the EX trim w/ nightfall, a message pops up that says tow is REQUIRED. My question is, if I place a factory order for an EX nightfall, will it come with the tow package by default?

Has anyone else had issues factory ordering with tow option installed (self-leveling suspension, wiring harness etc)?

Based on these code options: 2021 Official Training Material

It does not appear to be a default.

It appears that there are two Option Groups for the EX with Nightfall. Option Group 030 is the EX Premium AWD with Nightfall AWD only, then Option Group 035 is the same but adds the Towing Package. So maybe if the dealer already has 035 selected with the package it won't allow them to add the TO which is the Tow Option?

FYI: Tow Option (code TO) is the hitch and harness, Tow Package (code TWJ) is the Hitch, Harness and Self-Leveling suspension. You don't really need the Self-Leveling Suspension to tow and you may be able to get the Tow Option negotiated and installed at the dealer, buy after the fact from the dealer, or purchase aftermarket alternatives. The MSRP for TO is 475 and MSRP for TWJ is 795.

This is an example aftermarket self-leveling alternative system that will help your towing the same or better than the Nivomats and is much easier to use when hooking up a trailer: Air Lift SmartAir II Leveling System and Air Lift 1000 Universal Air Bag Kit. It will cost a little more than $300, probably around $600-800 to purchase and have it installed, but it gives you the ability to adjust the height while hooking up the trailer and not having to drive in order to activate the Nivomats. It also means when it comes time to replace your shocks you can buy standard shocks and you don't have to replace the Nivomats with the same which are more expensive.
