• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I’ve been searching for a Telluride with certain specs and started seeing a bunch on failcat, just to realize our FL market is such a rip off. 😩 Wanted to post market adjustments/addendums that I received quotes for recently in case it helps anyone out. This was for a 2021 EX AWD Premium + Nightfall Gravity Gray/Black interior (that I ended up buying from Coral Springs Kia because I built a nice report with the salesman and I ended up getting a break on the markup).

For reference:
Galeana (Gary) - $5K over MSRP
Crown (Danny) - $3K over MSRP
Coral Springs (Miguel) - $5K over MSRP
Century - $4K over MSRP
Gunther - $8K over MSRP
Lighthouse Point - $6K over MSRP
Friendly (Wendy) - $2K appearance package (would have loved to do business with them but I missed the call and 20 mins later, it was gone to another internet inquiry)
Courtesy - $2K appearance package (I do NOT recommend these jerks)

Hollywood and Rick Case were pushy but we never got to the “talk numbers” point

Miami Lakes felt allllll about the bait and switch. They tell you to come look then they car is gone and they are trying to sell you something else instead.

Just my experiences from the past few weeks. Good luck my Florida friends!!

Glad you were able to get something down here. Back in December I was in contact with Gunther, Rick Case, Miami Lakes, and Delray I think it was, and they all had markup and they weren’t willing to do Costco pricing. Got the same bait & switch from Miami Lakes as well. That said, my friend was able to get a good deal from Gunther. I ended up going thru Muncie.

Gunther was great to work with but I think I just approached at a high demand time. I also inquired through Muncie for 2021 (quoted $1300 to ship to Ft Lauderdale, which is still cheaper than mist markups) but they weren’t taking any orders at the time. They were my top choice. I’m glad yours worked out!!
Get to pick up our new addition after work and I can’t wait. The odometer read 12 miles When I took it for the final test drive yesterday. So neat!! 😍

I have been to several South Florida dealers and did not like any of them. Doral Kia was probably the worst. Miami Lakes was creepy. Gunther Kia could not answer my question, "Will you sell to me at MSRP?" (The answer was no) :)

Awesome! I’m sure I’ll see you on the road. I always check out the Gravity Greys on the road cuz I have one... haha.

Did you end up getting something or not yet?

No, I did not. No dealer in South Florida would sell me an SX-P at MSRP. Might buy a Palisade. I can get about $4,000 of sticker on a Palisade Limited without much effort.

You didn’t want to go the out of state route? I still came out ahead going thru Muncie and having it shipped down. Palisade is nice though.

The three dealers in Jacksonville all have $3,500-8,500 addendum on all cars. Nitrogen tire fill, pinstripes, paint protector.

Orlando is just as terrible too. I don't believe there's a dealer in that state I didn't call last year when looking for our 2020 SXP over the period of 4-5 months. Finally wound up just going to Indiana. We're going to buy a 2021 and nothing has changed.

The whole state is pretty much trash when it comes to Kia dealers. My advice to anyone and everyone in FL, save yourself the hassle and time and just go out of state for your Telluride purchase - unless you feel the markup is worth "saving time"

Don’t go to Asheville, NC either! Is $59,000 a good deal?😀 see attachment

Any updates? I'm in Miami looking to buy an SX-p

I bought my 2021 EX Premium with Nightfall from Coral Springs Kia. Miguel was my salesman but they are probably asking $5K over on SX’s. Check out Friendky Kia.they were responsive and the markup wasn’t as bad as some I’ve seen.
Good luck!!!

I wasn't able to find a dealer so I put a deposit on one that was posted here in the dealer forums and having it shipped.

Friendly looks like at least 2k markup...

I went to Crown KIA 2 weeks ago for an oil change on my Soul. They had a 2020 SX AWD Gravity Grey/Black on the floor at $54,527.95. That included a $3k markup, $1895 appearance package, $899.95 Dealer fee and upcharges on options.

$199 Cargo tray ($115)
$995 Interior light kit ($450)
$249 Mud guards ($115)
$495 illuminated scuff plates ($310)

I wonder why it hadn't sold yet.

Yep exactly why I ordered from Muncie to have it shipped to South Florida.

I emailed Jason Fox of Muncie. To order an SX-p he said, "Are you willing to wait a year or more?" No
Joke.

Phil Smith Kia has a nice Silver SX-p with towing. I test drove it. Asked "Are you selling at MSRP?" The salesman said, "Nope!"

They have a customer order list that is pages upon pages long, it's not their fault Kia can't make them fast enough.

No way! That’s crazy!
I’m already setting Nightfall editions on the road... how is the wait over a year for the SX-P? Wow.
