• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I saw a video showing the screen and I saw there is a way to change the layout but I don't have this option on mine (SX Canada)
Is it related to the version of my system ? my car is 3 weeks old so I guess I have a recent version.

I do I know what is the latest version and where to get it from ?

Mine is gone now. The dealer did a software upgrade and that option is no longer visible. It also change the layout of my home screen. I don’t know why

I am curious about the layout as well and have played around with it a bit. What i really would like to know is, is there a way to only have 2 screens on the home page instead of 3? I don't need to see the weather or some of the other options. Want Apple Car Play and my radio/media but not sure if this is possible?

You can’t make a two-component home screen, but using split screen, you can mix and match to get nearly any combination of two components that you want. Just make sure you have split screen enabled for CarPlay or Android Auto if you want one of them to be on the 2/3 size side (you will have had to do the April or August update to enable this functionality).

Then, just pull up the thing you want on the primary side, and add in split screen. Swipe up or down on that right 1/3 of the screen to change what’s there. You can further customize what does or doesn’t show up there to your liking.

I usually have my CarPlay for music/podcasts and split screen in the Kia map so I have something else to look at (and so my passenger can see how fast I’m going 😊).BD32D670-3AFB-43A6-A556-A1F293BBE0D3.webp

You can also do two widgets in UVO by going to maps, media or radio and the tapping on that little arrow all the way on the right side of the screen.

For split screen with phone projection, the update to v14 or later is required as bruesjoh mentioned.

Unfortunately, every time you start the car, it reverts back to the 3 widget layout by default.

Ok-good to know and thank you! My wife took it on a road trip with some girls so I will mess around with it Sunday. I just got it last week so i'm hoping all the updates have been done. May have some other questions on exactly how that process is done. But hate the idea of doing it reverting back on start up.

Another quick question that I just want to verify-I have the EX w/premium and am so ingrained having a compass on my main center screen with digital speedometer-this is not an option unless I toggle thru the screens correct? I don't need to know distance to empty as much as I would like to generally see what direction I'm going in and hoping it might be customizable like my Cherokee's center stack is.

If you have a 2021, you most likely have the old software. Others with 2021 models have reported their vehicles being delivered with the old software. The major update (14) from this spring has the most changes, the one from this fall (14.5) only added map updates to that earlier one. Obviously the newest update contains all previous changes. If you want to make sure you’re up to date, get a 64 GB+ USB stick and go to update.kia.com. The update site conveniently doesn’t list 2021 models, but the software is the same either way.

I don’t believe there is an option to view both digital speedometer and compass in the instrument cluster screen. You can have the compass as a secondary widget in the infotainment screen though.
