Track my vehicle

Hopefully SXs without Tow are the next block šŸ˜‰

Same! I have an SXP with Tow on order. My original ETA was 9/13 and is now 9/14. I would think if there was some kind of supply shortage - I would have seen a larger swing in my ETA.

Question.. so instead of doing a trade at the Kia dealer for the Telly, you are basically selling your old car to car max?
I was doing a trade at Kia for mine, but now I am wondering if I should ā€œsellā€ it elsewhere. ? And use my cash for my new Telly that I am supposed to get next week

Get a quote from Carvana as well. I did better with Carvana and the process was soooo easy. Didn’t have to deal with anyone other than the guy that picked my car up and handed me the check.

Here is a question that i am about curious about-

Once KIA creates the VIN# on their side......does that hit the dealerships desk or the failcat first? Or is basically at the same time.

I’m in the process of figuring this out now. Carvana is almost 3k better than dealer’s best offer, which more than offsets any tax benefit there would be.

Fun trick I’ve discovered - once you get a Carvana quote, you can go in and edit your car slightly every day (change miles by 1, check/uncheck a feature) and it changes the offer and resets the 7 day eligibility window. I actually saw my offer go up by a few hundred bucks by trying this a few times. YMMV and it probably depends on the car - I have a relatively rarer car that’s AWD and has really low miles, so I’ve been seeing a big ā€œmarket adjustmentā€ in my appraisals from them.

We see it first.. (Dealer level) that’s how I know it takes 24-48 hours on average to show on failcat

Mine just moved back by almost 3 weeks.

Talked with my dealer today. My car (EX AWD P/N) VIn created around Jul 14 delivery date for Aug 15th. Got bumped up to the 4th of Aug. GM of that dealership said today that its likely getting pushed back towards the original delivery date due to a rail issue in New York? I guess my car is stuck in some yard in NY and they are doing rail construction that is causing the delay. Not sure if anyone can verify that on here.

How did your pickup from Lev go? Did they stick to MSRP? Any add-ons to the final bill that surprised you? How are you liking the car so far?

We have an order in with Lev and are dealing with Ken Russian. Ken has been great so far. We are hoping to have ours in Oct/Nov time frame.

Appreciate any insight you may have.

sorry for the delayed response -- been super busy and somehow i missed this -- so i'll try to make up for it by being detailed.

Overall I would say that my pickup from Lev Kia went smoothly. I wouldn't say there was anything extraordinary about our experience, but they got us the car we wanted at MSRP and I guess with Tellurides even something which would normally be as simple as that can be hard to come by (sadly).

More details:
Got a call on a Wednesday that the car had arrived a little ahead of schedule but couldn't get an appointment to pick up the car until the following Tuesday (you could say whats 5 days after 5 months but I was not surprisingly excited that the car had arrived after so long that the additional wait seemed longer than necessary). I was told to expect it to be at the dealership for about 2 hours, and that turned out to be pretty accurate -- though most of the time seemed to be spent waiting for things like the registration to go through and for them to complete the state inspection. One thing was that they told us there would be someone there who would give us a little presentation and teach us about all the features of the car and that didn't happen at all (though i'm not sure we needed/wanted that).

We paid MSRP + a documentation fee + a fee for the title/registration/inspection. This was all what we had been told -- no surprises there. The MSRP was higher than when we gave them our deposit (back in February) because Kia switched us to a 2021 which has a slightly higher MSRP, but from the beginning they had given us the expectation that we would pay whatever the MSRP was on the window sticker when it arrived. They did try to sell extended warranty/tire protection/etc but not in a pressured way and it was all optional -- no "required" add ons.

I have found a few minor issues with the car within a few days of picking it up -- outdated map/navigation software, misaligned HUD, broken clip on a piece of trim in the trunk. Of course I didn't notice any of these until after we left, so I'm still waiting to hear back from them on how they will handle them. These are seemingly issues from the factory, not the dealership, but of course the factory isn't going to help me fix them so maybe I'll reserve final judgement on Lev Kia until I see how they handle these issues.

Thank you for the detailed reply! Great to hear that only the expected fees were added (doc and title/reg/inspection).

I saw the thread re: the outdated map/nav software versions and it is odd that they are being built that way. You would expect the latest software but in the end a minor item. Hopefully Lev will be able to update that for free vs paying the $25 to mapnsoft. The misaligned HUD is just an odd one. Curious to hear how the service from Lev works out for you.

Congratulations on the new ride!
Rich

Anyone able to track this VIN 5XYP3DHC9MG100500 for me? Last ETA update was tomorrow but still showed Transit-Tender so I'm thinking it's going to be delayed again. (original ETA was 7/22)

Did you find out where in line you are from Lev for the trim you ordered? I've e-mailed a couple time without much luck.

I was never able to find out exactly where I was in line, though I cant say I pushed too hard as once I decided to go with them I figured it was what it was

When I ordered on June 10 I was #22 for SX. Since 6/22/20, 8 SX have been created according to Failcat. I just asked my salesman for an update today.

Interesting. I'll give it another week and follow up again, maybe by phone this time. I went with an EX AWD on 7/8. I know there were 50 or 55 people (total for all trims) at that time. I've been following the EX AWDs (non-Nightfall) and there have been 5 VINs created since I put my order in.

Excellent. I would definitely ask for a more specific reply and how many people are in front of you for EX AWD and EX P AWD. I wouldn't discount that the Nightfall could also impact your spot on the list. Someone ahead of you may opt for one of the Nightfall and you still end up moving up the list. At least that is my hope with the SX Nightfall that are showing. šŸ˜‚
