Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Sorry for not being clear. I placed a deposit on an already allocated vehicle in April. It got transitioned from a 2020 to this 2021. Found that out about a month ago.

Hello tellulove members...Just want to share a strange occurance regarding my Telly sxp order...so I ordered my Telly beginning of April this year and have been waiting patiently since...the order was accepted per my salesman confirmation back in April...so about 2weeks ago my salesman called to let me know that they don’t know how much longer it’s going to be before I get my Telly because they were having HUD unit shortage...at this point I was a little frustrated with Kia..so I told him I seen so many night fall editions comin to dealerships everyday...so I asked him what if I switch/change my order and add on the night edition Will that push up my delivery sooner...so yesterday mon 7/27/20 he called & told me my Telly will be here 3rd week of August...I was shocked to hear the news that my 21 dark moss dune brown with night edition pkg is comin in 3wks...I am still confused & wondering if Kia/dealership did this on purpose to push out more sales with nightfall edition..Please don’t get me wrong I am super excited that my Telly is here, but idk what are your thoughts?

The HUD unit shortage is just a rumor. Go look at the Telluride Lookup site and you can see that not only are Prestige trims being produced every day - they are being produced in relatively large numbers. Whenever I see someone like yourself tell us that their dealer told them their car hadn't been made due to a HUD shortage - and then offer you another in bound unit - I tend to think that they never placed your order and are trying to cover for their incompetence. Now - the only option package that is missing from more current production is the Tow Package. But even there - no confirmed shortage of parts has been confirmed. I have an SXP with tow on order with a 9/14 ETA.
KIA is finally running their plant at the 100K/year rate and are quickly working through the backlog. If you have one actually ordered and with a confirmed ETA - then you are good. If it hasn't been ordered - time for a heart to heart with your dealership or opt for an unsold inbound unit at your dealership that is close to what you want.
