Snow White Pearl vs Glacier White Pearl

Hi everyone, longtime listener, first time caller.

We became interested in the Telluride this spring and stumbled upon the Telluride Forum website. Been very informative for me. We just put a deposit down on a 2021 White EXP w/NE. I'm not expecting to even have a VIN/Order# for 1-2 months and realistically hope to have delivery by end of year.

I just found this video today. The caption on the YouTube video says Snow White Pearl but I'd assume because it's a 2021 that the color is really GWP. Even my sales guy this week said GWP is just a rename of SWP so I'm not convinced the dealer network is very informed on this.

They haven’t started producing GWP yet so this is definitely a SWP.

What the difference is? Only time will tell.

Why would they produce a batch of 2021 in SWP if all the sales material points to GWP for the Nightfall? Serious question as I’m new to the Kia brand and maybe this is normal. Our prior 5-6 vehicles have basically come down to what color Honda my wife wants.

I think they just had some SWP paint leftover due to Covid shutdown, but needed to finish up 2020 orders and get on with 2021s in July. Nightfall parts were ready, so just start cranking them out. GWP should start in August production and September deliveries.

Where did you hear September?? Last we heard was August would begin the Glacial white. Still can't believe I'm ordering a car without really knowing what the color will be hahahha

I believe yes, you are right, August production with first deliveries in September. I haven't seen an GWP ETA before mid-Sept.

I also ordered the GWP before seeing it! Crossing my fingers!

This is from the model/accessory code ordering sheet. Glacial White, Snow White, and Wolf Gray. Even assuming they begin on the first day of August (doubtful, especially given that’s a Saturday), I wouldn’t expect any GWP deliveries before late in the month. Likely the first batches will be random allocated units, not customer orders (kind of like Nightfall). But who knows. That’s just my speculation.

Black for me. The gray is too light and I'm just not a fan of brown interiors.

I like the black too but have been told it gets too hot.

A nice sunshade and window tint will help with that.

I am getting butterscotch. I drove a dealers car here and he had white with butterscotch and il the combo looked very sharp!

I'm not sure of the exact meaning of Kdealer or KFOS but we put a deposit down on a EX-P w/NE in GWP early July. Was told we'd receive a order number and VIN in 1-2 months.

SWP 2021 nightfall editions will be super rare. I can picture them going across the Mecum car auctions floor in 2040 for big bucks.

@sbelseth Kdealer and KFOS are how dealers enter your order. Have you received any type of order number yet? Here's a thread explaining the two systems. Latest info on ordering through KFOS
