Order to delivery time

Sorry to hear this. You placed an order in January? Too bad you now have to wait longer, especially when you were supposed to pick it up this month.

Ha nice try. I’ve heard my car was ready twice now only to find it’s not my car. I’d rather get a different car than give Yonkers my money. Customer service and honesty matter more than a car.

I put in an order for an SXP with Nightfall at the end of July 27 or 28. I was told 4 - 6 months with a possibility of as early as September. Not holding my breath for Sept but that would be oh so sweet.

Same boat as you guys. Placed an order on 8/3 for an SXP Nightfall Wolf Gray (which they’re supposedly not even producing until sept). Was told anywhere from 12 wks to 5 months. So basically I’m hoping for a Christmas arrival.

Would you be able to post that report? My wife wants an Atlas (or Volvo xc-90) but I want the T-ride.

You'll have to test drive Atlas for yourself, but entering the interstate highway from an onramp, the Atlas I test drove had no power to get on the highway at speeds of moving vehicles. If you can't see these well send me email and I'll email you the pics. Atlas placed last in it's category for 3 row SUV. Volvo is in a separate category because of price point.

Great news here! My EX-P, Sangria & Gray Telly was ordered on April 13, and the dealer estimated late August or early September delivery date. VIN showed up on failcat July31. Dealer gave me an ETA of August 18. Well, amazingly, I got a phone call yesterday morning telling me that my Telly was on their lot and would be available for pickup yesterday afternoon!! They were great. Sold at MSRP with no add-ons or other BS. Gave me a fair trade-in price on my 2013 Sorento. All in all, a great experience even with a four-month wait; seeing these posts, it could have been a lot worse. Haven't had it yet for 24 hours, but I'm really enjoying driving it and learning about all the bells and whistles.

When I first contacted our dealership they gave me a 4-9 month timeframe for SX with Prestige orders. When we finally got in there to order they said it could be 6-12 months. We put our order in on July 8th, so we’re a month in.

I’d be interested with what others are seeing in the VIN turnaround time for SX/Prestige his summer.

I ordered on 7/15 here in MO for a dark moss sx-p nightfall w/ tow It showed up in failcat Friday 8/7 with an eta of 9/1. I’m not sure what I did in a previous life to get a roughly 45 day turnaround but I’ll take it.

I think the game would be more fair if we excluded all NE orders. We all saw how Kia flooded the market with NEs. Not wanting to take anything from you, @Natelee53 because I ordered from the same dealer (congrats btw), but it seems like these quick turn-around orders were in the right place at the right time.

haha I’m not in competition with anyone. Just happy to have such a quick order-to-delivery turnaround. I would tend to agree that Kia seems to be pumping out Nightfall editions above all else.
What did you order? Do you have a delivery date yet?

@StephenCantrelle any update on 5XYP5DHC5MG107180? VIN posted on 8/4 with original delivery date of 9/8. Order was placed on 11/1/19 so I’ve been waiting quite a while...

Here's a different twist on Order to Delivery time -

Went to the dealer on 04/20/20 with intentions to buy or lease a 2020 EXP-T AWD Dark Moss/Black AND a 2019 NIRO S-Touring. Turned out the Telluride was already spoken for (my bad) but did drive home in the NIRO. They signed me up for a matching Telluride currently on order (first on the list) with an expected delivery of "end of June".

Enter COVID-19 production shutdown and was notified that my order would be converted to a 2021 model with an "expected delivery" of "early October". Still waiting for my 2021 KFOS allocation.

Failcat shows 128 2021 EXP-T AWD VINs have been created but only 1 Dark Moss / Black. The remaining are 124 Snow White Pearl and 3 Gravity Gray.
