  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Ordered from Kia of Muncie on 1/7/20. SX,awd, swp, butterscotch. VIN was created on 7/16/20. The delivery dates keep getting pushed back (7/31,8/3,8/11,8/18,8/25 and now 9/1. My wife is really frustrated with Kia and doesn’t think it will ever come. I haven’t seen it take longer than 6 weeks max after the vin is created. Just wondering if something like this can keep going for weeks/months?

Estimates here seem to suggest at the earliest 6-8 weeks after VIN creation. I would suspect that you will for sure get it by year end and likely by/in Oct at the latest.

I have seen Vins on the lot here in NC less than 2 weeks after the VIN shows in Failcat. I have no idea why these ETAs are slipping so far out now. Seems like the Auto Carriers can not handle the volume. Crazy to have hundreds of finished Tellys sitting in Georgia at the Plant waiting for transport. The ones going far west I assume move by rail.

After seeing the google map view of KIA Manufacturing in Georgia, they have a huge rail line infrastructure for transportation. I do know they send all overseas Telly by way of rail to Savannah. What goes by rail versus truck car hauler? Don't know but even the ones going by rail in the U.S. have to be finally transported by truck to the dealerships.
