Don't want to pay above MSRP but what would the MSRP increase to if Trump goes forward with car tariffs?

I had decided to hold off buying until dealers stop adding $5k-$6k above MSRP.

But if Trump moves forward with car tariffs, I may end up still paying the same amount as the current MSRP plus markup.

I emailed KIA corporate asking what they think the increase in MSRP will be if the car tariffs go into effect but no answer yet.

Since Telly is made in Georgia, tariffs will not impact it as much as foreign made vehicles and most of those price increases have already happened with the steel and aluminum tariffs. Max price increase due to tariffs is probably 2k but they may have already baked that in not know what the future held since telly pricing was announced post tariff.

Car Industry Fears Trump Tariffs On Vehicle Imports

The gist of it is Trump is mad that automakers were moving overseas to make things cheaper. To counter that, he has threatened to put steep tariffs on imported vehicles and vehicle parts. The tariffs cause a large increase in price which is suppose to make the automakers want to come back to the US to manufacture. Generally all it really does is raise the price of what we pay.

I was on my phone and I should have said what new tariffs? Are there new tariffs on Korea? Because if we change our position 9 months after inking a deal with Korea, then all countries knows we are not bargaining in good faith.
