• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2020 update 1 Available

Kia/Hyundai have a confusing system but think Map version also correlates to the UVO system ver so you actually have a newer SW ver than anyone else lol you should have access to at least the ver 14 feature like split screen android, color themes to the nav map, a speedo in nav map, and most importantly the coveted Sounds of Nature*. Now curious what else it now or just updated addresses for maps.

*i'm being sarcastic on this one

Just a few days away -- that would be great if they keep the date

New version is out now at mapnsoft.com.

Looks like this time it is a 100% maps update, so if you updated earlier this year, it probably isn’t worth the trouble.

But if you are someone who hasn’t updated yet, or have a new 2021 that is rocking the old software, go get it and get your split screen Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and some other updates!

2021 only showing Seltos currently.

also, it says the map version is NAM.13.47.44.680.101.5

which would seem like an earlier version number than NAM.13.47.44.680.201 which some of us were able to find with the navigation updater software

I’m willing to bet ordering/downloading the 2020 model update for your 2021 will result in the same outcome. There cannot be any real difference in the head units between the model years.

But of course I won’t guarantee that... 😉 and I don’t have a 2021 to try myself.

Not going to risk it. Logic is in your corner but my head unit shipped with a rather old version of the software which leads me to believe there may be something different about it.

to place the order you have to type in your VIN number. I typed in my 2021 VIN and it let me order it anyway.

unfortunately, as i said, the software to download the update and load it on a usb drive isnt working properly so i havent been able to get any further than that.

i called MnSOFT support -- they asked me to submit a ticket online so they can escalate it to the software engineers, so i've done that but i imagine it will take a while for anything to happen...

They don’t list it as being available for the 2021 Palisade, either. But unlike the 2021 Telluride, those appear to be leaving their factory with what was the latest software. So maybe the update people assumed there was no update needed on the 2021 Telluride since, like the 2021 Palisade, it is so new (barely two months of production so far). Just speculation. Who really knows.

PS, I still think it’s insane that there are any 2021 Tellurides that don’t have the 14.0 update from April. If they’re shipping it out to people at home, it should certainly be installed in what’s rolling off the line.

My 2021 didnt have the 14.0 update and it was built clearly after April. I have called Kia directly to complain about this because I agree that its ridiculous but they don't really seem to care. I also complained to my dealership and they said that they contacted Kia about it and got a similar response...

update.kia.com seems to be officially working now: Notice | Official Kia Motors Navigation Update Website

i just downloaded the navigation software (without having to choose the korean version or anything like that) and used it to download the update files.

interestingly its NAM.13.47.44.680.201, which is what i was able to download using the korean version a few days ago

but now that its official i'm willing to try it on my 2021. waiting for it to transfer to my usb stick and then i'll need to find some time later today to update the car

Anyone who loaded it track how long the load time was? Still around half hour?

I'm happy that the update.kia.com website seems to be functional now, since it actually has a downloader for the Mac. I kept on hoping it would work earlier this year, but all it ever said was "coming soon." Eventually I just bit the bullet and ordered a USB stick from Mapnsoft to get my 14.0 update in May.

I might give this a go for our Palisade since I didn't feel like ordering a USB stick just for that back then and I didn't have access to a Windows computer to do the download from Mapnsoft.

so MapnSoft and update.kia use 2 different software packages, I been trying the MapnSoft updater but seems to be having issues still, keeps giving installation successful even though I just pressed download, not sure if its USB compatibility or software issues. Wanted to compare the files between the 2.

I'm still waiting for my Telly so i dont have much of an input here. From what ive been reading, are we having to buy an updated version for the maps or I can just be downloaded. Getting my car in a few weeks so getting things together.

I got an email from MnSoft support saying to use update.kia.com to download rather than mapnsoft.com. unclear if this is just because the mnsoft software for downloading isn't working at the moment or if it isn't supposed to work at all

one other thing i forgot to mention:
when you use the software from update.kia.com (rather than the software from mapnsoft.com) it gives you the option to login using your kia owners portal username and password. if you do this, it 'knows' your vehicle (as opposed to choosing your vehicle from a dropdown list).

though i have a 2021 Telluride it takes me to the 2020. Still not proof that its intended for both 2020 + 2021s, but something else going in that direction
