• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... My New 2020 Kia Telluride has not started 4 different times! I have had it into the dealer and they have checked the battery, which was good, and have run diagnositcs on the systems last week, but it happened again last night. I had to jump it again. Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you seen any error in the car diagnosis.

Take a video, and take it to your dealer.

Have dealer replace battery cable with the sensor in it. Mine went suddenly bad and would only work intermittently.

Mine has been doing the same thing. I purchased it in May 2019 and loved it until recently. I had to jump it 4 different times, then took it into the dealership. They tested the battery and said all was well and sent me on my way. It died 3 more times. I was able to start it the 3 time without a jump on the 12th attempt, so I went straight to the dealership and they kept the vehicle for 5 days. I just got a call saying that they were finally able to recreate the issue and changed the battery. I’m hopeful that I won’t have these issues again, but I hate the fact that I can’t rely on my vehicle that’s 8 months old.

I understand but since they replaced my battery .the Kia has been flawless..

The sorry sad state of the world is, between 1 to 5% of ALL new batteries sold will be defective and will fail with in the year. 54% of all cars will have a bad battery in 6 years. The number one complaint of all new cars is the battery, and the problem as been getting worst. Battery failure increases by 20% per year over the last 4 years. 44% in 2016 alone.

If we just take 1% rate, 700 vechile will have a battery problem as the roll off the factory floor. This is not a kia problem, the rate is the same for ALL brands.

Yes and I have had it to the deal several times and they can't find anything wrong. It just did it again yesterday. There is absolutely no power to it at all. My girlfriend just told me that her daughter had a Kia and had the same problem and found out it is a inhibitor switch or neutral safety switch. I am taking mine into Kia and having them check it this week.

They must have these wired differently than other vehicles. Usually the Inhibitor switch will still allow all the power throughout the car, but it just won't crank. Weird.

Every single Tellurides rolling off the floor goes through hands-on drive test on test track supposedly. So I guess they started successfully at least once or twice before getting to the dealership, and then for the test drive... I would recommend to always disable 'auto stop' feature.

Yes!! We too have had the dealer check it over 2 days ago and I’m now waiting for road side assistance! Has your issue been resolved? How?

My telluride did the same and it was diagnosed with a bad cell on the battery , they replaced the battery.

Is there a way to do that other than on a 'per-trip' basis? I know I have read that there was a solution to put a cut up credit card (or hotel room key/etc) and jam it in the edge of the button so that it is permanently pushed in and in the 'off' position.

Just cleaning out my car today with the radio on. Went to start it so I could wash it and it won’t start. Electronics just keep flashing and emergency brake won’t disengage. Taking it to service.

Did you try jumpstarting before taking it to service? Could have been low battery.
