If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all,

I recently put down a $1000 deposit for an order to delivery for a 2021 SX-P Nightfall. My dealer recently sent over a buyer's order form for me to sign, however, I noticed it doesn't make mention of neither Nightfall and Prestige package on the form.

I'm a bit reluctant to sign, since I'm unfamiliar with the process. I just want to make sure I get the packages right. Also, it is normal to sign an order form this early in the process, since who knows how long I'll have to wait.

While I'm waiting for the dealer to respond, I was wondering if anyone else have had any experience or knowledge they can share with me. Thanks!

A buyer's order can be signed - just be sure it has correct price and all TT&L and dealer fees outlined - basically your out-the-door price. If it's a reputable dealership, this will be the price you are charged at delivery, and you can negotiate your financing then subject to Kia's promotions. You could ask them to quote a finance rate if you wish.

You can also ask them to write that the deposit be refundable.

If it doesn't say what you want, then I would write what you want on there - SX with Prestige and Nightfall so MSRP is just North of 50k, right?

Sometimes the buyers order just lists price... as the price should reflect MSRP + any markup.

Make sure a sales manager signs off on it or sends it via his email. If you list the dealership, folks may reply with their experiences.

Thanks! Yeah, the MSRP is just north of 50k. I'm purchasing from Crowley Auto Group in Bristol, CT.

Sounds like good advice, but I wouldn’t sign a buyer’s order that didn’t have a VIN on it.
