If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all, I’ve been viewing this forum for a while to educate myself as I decide between a Telluride, Palisade, and Pilot.

Looking forward to interacting with everyone!

I do have one question and understand if this should be moved to another part of the forum. Can the power folding mirrors on the EX be folded in while the vehicle is in drive and/or reverse (i.e. while in motion and not just while parked)? I ask because my garage door is very tight and we need to manually fold in the driver’s side mirror on my wife’s van to make sure there is plenty of clearance. I’d love to avoid having to roll my window up and down every time I pull in or back out of my garage.

Welcome and you can power fold mirrors at a touch of a button at any time

Awesome, thanks for the input! It sounds silly, but that is probably the tipping point in choosing between the three vehicles. The Palisade, to my knowledge, doesn’t have this capability and I’d have to spend a lot more $ on the Pilot because of it being limited to one of the highest trims.

My wife has caught a mirror on the side of the garage now twice in four years and I don’t want to have a second vehicle where I hold my breath while she backs out LOL.

Welcome to the forum. My wife has a Touring Pilot and I have a Telluride ordered. Hands down, the Telluride blows away the Pilot. My friend has a Telly and I have test drives several. No comparison at all between Telly and Pilot. As for the Pallaside, in my opinion, the Telly is a way better looking vehicle. No matter what you choose, I wish you luck.

Thanks! Leaning heavily towards the Telly at this point. 😁

I currently have a 17 Pilot Touring and have a Telly ordered to replace it.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! :) What might the Telluride be replacing for you?

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima. Bought it out of college and it’s been great. Need something bigger now though with two kids and sports gear.

As mentioned above, the ability to have power folding mirrors to safely navigate in and out of my garage is almost a must. Most three row SUV’s are just as wide as the van we have now that has clipped the wood trim backing out.

The Telluride and Palisade catch my eye the most, and the Pilot is only in the discussion for me because of brand dependability.

I just ordered an EX and those folding mirrors will be nice for us too getting in and out of garage. Wife had clipped the mirror on the current Santa Fe a time or two.
