• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Canadian 2021 Telluride

I live in BC and have talked to a dealership and so far they got me $1000 off and brings the price down to $55,940. In BC the tax for the price should be 8% PST because the info I have found online is any vehicle priced from $55,000-$55,999 should be in that percent range. On the dealerships sheet the put it at 9% I know its not huge difference but still saving money anywhere isnt a bad thing either big or small. If anyone has any information on luxury tax that would be great.

If you buy the car from a dealer, federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) is charged at a rate of 7%. Provincial sales tax (PST) is also charged at a rate of 7% for vehicles less than $55,000, which increases by 1 percent for each additional $1,000 for vehicles above $57,000, up to a maximum of 10 percent.

So the price for me at 55,940 I should be at 8% and not 9% on what it says on dealer sheet?

Yes, should be 8.
Ask the manager why there is 1 more, show the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) Bulletin

Told the sales guy about the luxury tax and he said "we can get around you paying luxury tax" whatever that means. Also they added this "package" to the sales sheet saying if I trade a vehicle in it stay in the sales sheet. Meaning I would have to pay for it, the package includes front&rear splash guards, wheel locks, front winter mats, nitrogen filled tires, elite windshield protection. This is all b.s. since I have called a few dealerships around and they have told me the telluride comes with splash guards from factory aka they trying to charge me something that is already included with the vehicle.

@nabatron , for canada all trimm comes with splash guards.

I wish we got the interior colors of the states. The brown color options are way better then the only dark gross brown leather interior option we get here in Canada.

Hey Canadian bros....... I see your reference to "nightsky edition" is that another difference between the US and Canadian versions?? I see reference to "nightFALL" here in the U.S.???

I think its the same. Canad the nightfall name is trademarked by i think GM

In 1960 you could buy a Pontiac Catalina in the US, but in Canada it was called a Laurentian

And Pontiac Parisienne which was the first car I ever drove, at 5 years old (sat in my uncles lap)

My friend brought his to the campsite this weekend (no not the one I drove when I was 5... LOL)

She is a beauty though...

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if we can install this in the Canadian version or even order the kit?

Interior Light Kit

from the two dealers I have been talking to, I have not seen the interior lighting kit listed as an accessory that we can buy.

Interior kit IMO (and just my opinion I guess?) is such a waste of money... ($350US?)

You would be better off spending $50 on Amazon and getting LED strips.

There is really nice ones.

Definitely agree, at $350USD that is expensive but I guess people may like that OEM factor. Not a fan of the entire thing myself.

Finally put the order in for the 2021 Nightsky in Glacial White Pearl. Final deal was $65.4K, on the road with the tow package, premium cargo liner, 2-bike hitch carrier, ski/snowboard carrier (attaches to bike carrier), door handle film and a TPMS kit for winter tires. The discount on MSRP pretty much paid for all of the accessories and overall I am happy with the deal I got.

4-8 weeks was the referenced wait time and I will be happy to throw up pics once it arrives.

Does anyone know if this is a plug and play? Are the required harnesses already in place?

Nice. That’s the same config I would get, minus the bike rack and snowboard carrier.

Congrats!

That’s part of my original question. There’s supposed to be a button in the covered centre console on the left side that is supposed to control it. I’m guessing no one has it installed or has bothered to look
