• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Has anyone installed blacked out tail lights? Trying to see what they look like! Something like these where there is no red reflective inside the light...

Is that even legal?

Might be great for esthetics but not legal by any means unless it actually meets the federal lighting requirements by replacing the bulbs too which I doubt. Just a beacon that says here's a reason you can pull me over and ticket me. Many states if not all require the red reflector on the rear of cars.

Well alrighty then...there goes that idea lol

In CA anything that modifies the factory lighting is illegal unless you can take it to an official lamp inspection station and get a certificate that your lighting meets federal requirements unless the seller can provide you with a certificate that the modification meets requirements.
