The dealership should be going crazy on your behalf...I understand a few days(3 or less) but 2 weeks?!?

When I was looking around some dealers were saying at least 6 months, some were saying 4-6 and others were saying about 3 months. Do you have any insights? The dealer did not give me a VIN yet. How long does it take to get the VIN?

So many variables, let start with how many SX AWD orders are infront of you? they have received only 15 SX AWD models for this year so far so averaging less than 2 a month... so if you have 10 people infront of you ordering SX AWD(doesnt have to be prestige or nightfall) then wait time for them will be at least 6 months till you go into KFOS and then an additional 1-2 months wait time... IF they have no one infront of you then you are likely 2-3 months away..

Key is to ask them how many orders are infront of you SX AWD wise

*good news is they have gotten 10 of the 15 in last 3 months.. so average has recently gone up from under 2 a month to 3 a month as of late

I’m pretty sure others are aware, but just a note, Nappa leather for the SX (which I know is what you’re after) so it’s not necessarily ‘all cars’, just SXs.

and that dealer isn’t wrong! Managed expectations for those ordering. At least they aren’t saying they’ll have it by tomorrow!

One quick question - dealer has government fee and ETCH fees, do we know what are these? Processing and doc fee is 679....

ETCH is anti theft deterrent.. a serial number that gets put on all major body parts.. if car gets stolen hard to sell parts if reported stolen online...( dont have it at my dealer but have worked for dealers that have had it) each dealer is unique so dont know what a government fee would be.. Sound like a couple profit lines
